Friday nights, early starts, hard for people (fans, families especially, race teams) to get to a rural track. can and has been done, but it is tough. first year of operation, you have to work your ***** off to get some cars. that old "build it, they will come" doesn't work anymore, too many other options. charging fans to watch a 5 car feature is a big mistake, they won't come back and they will tell everyone that will listen how bad it was. smart promoter would charge a nominal fee if anything until you started to build a car count. couple bucks, kids free, get people used to coming and show them something that makes them want to return. to turn that place around is a monumental battle and you are not going to do it overnight, it took years to run in the ground. I commend the new people for taking on the task but hope they realize it will take time money before it starts paying off.
