Dr. Jerry Punch Out at ESPN
« on: April 26, 2017, 06:41:41 PM »
"Doc" was part of the purge at ESPN today, where around 100 on-air and writing talents were let go / downsized / made redundant / insert your own corporate euphemism for being fired (I know how that feels).

Here's the confirmed list so far.  Since I don't follow any of the ball and stick sports, most of these names I do not recognize.

IMHO, he was rendered irrelevant; not to mention nearly invisible to most viewers...

When IBM had their bloodbath here in Endicott, the employees were "surplused."

Jerry is a good guy and a friend, and I look forward to seeing him at the Cameron Argetsinger Award dinner honoring Mario Andretti at the Corning Museum of Glass in August.
