Do You Like a Dry Slick Race Track?
« on: April 27, 2016, 03:57:44 PM »
I do not like to race on it and i sure do not like to watch a race on a slick track. I know that it is easy on equipment but couldn't there be a happy medium. The dust is a pain in the A$$ too. Any Thoughts?

I think it makes for a lousy show.

I think it makes for a poor fan experience when you have a hard time seeing the action through the dust. Now that I'm not going to many asphalt races anymore, I wish I lived closer to PA where many dirt tracks are virtually dust-free when compared to the dry-slick dustbowls in NYS.

That is the biggest reason I found a new track to run at last year.

It's a little hard to collect but if they put more cat urine on the track it would be a lot less slick and dusty.

No. I am not 100% sure on this, but I believe the State of NY does not allow calcium to be put down on the tracks anymore. This in a state that most likely uses more road salt than any other.
