what was the purse for the sports mod?How does that compare to shang, chemung spencer or lancaster?just wondering what a fair purse would be for a weekly 40-50 lap show

Just wondering, why anyone would think that 40-50 laps is an appropriate distance for a weekly feature - for any class?

Here is what should happen.

Holland featured class is Late Models with a mixed 602 604 engine rules
2 supporting classes (Chargers and Pro 4)
and guest class ( TQ's or Legends or ROC or Sportsman race)

out - Fig 8, rookie class,

Lancaster featured class is Sportsman.
2 supporting classes (Streets and 4 cylinders)
and a guess class (Big 10/NY State Super Stocks or ROC or TQ's)

40 or 50 lap race purse should be $250 to start for 20 positions $2,500 to win plus lap money. Send some drivers home to increase the back end of the purse. Plus, everyone loves the last chance consi races.

Asphalt tracks have a big issue long races do not mean better racing.

Were you wearing your hockey helmet when you wrote this? Too small to race? In the 16 years I've been racing I've spent allot of time running side by side with people at Holland.

Did you race at Holland at all last year dlondos? I am just trying to put the car with the name. Name don't look familiar. I know at least a few guys that raced at Holland also raced a few times at Lancaster also. Don't remember many Lancaster cars coming to Holland. When Lancaster closed down, some of the streets came to Holland and seemed to be able to run side by side and pass without moving anybody. They actually put on a great show and were fast. Were you one of those cars??

So I am hearing 3 Late Model races and 3 Sportsman races at Holland. If so that is terrible. The 602 Late Models can not compete at Lancaster so the 602 guys will only race 3 races a year.

WCIS lets get some Late Models back on your track

How many sport mods could Holland hope to attract for three Saturday night shows with both Lancaster and WCIS running sport mods full time on Saturday nights?
