Woodhull Street Stock drivers
« on: June 08, 2014, 08:08:23 PM »
Ted asked me to help spread the word that there will be another meeting this coming weekend. It will be at 4:30pm at the track Sat. night before the races. Probably at the same place we had it before. (not sure on that) I'm sure someone will let us know.

I could be wrong, but I believe the YCS Street Stocks class sponsor is helping with the elevated purse. I think.

Two unicorn sightings here...  Adam could be wrong and a promoter is actually promoting...  Next we find Bigfoot!

Todd actually you are both right! Greg's auto body did sponsor the class and is paying the elevated pay off, and Both of them are promoting (just drive by Greg's shop for an example).

As far as the meeting goes why have one just open up the rules, and pay more than it cost you to go. Pretty simple.. Working pretty good at Yates and Thunder! The days of street stocks are gone, You can't even find rear control arms any more unless you are lucky engough to find someone with a stock pile.

Jeremy...  My sarcasm was not aimed at Yates County... I applaud what has been done there in just a short time...  Trailing arms aren't the issue...  The cost to compete is...  I'd be perfectly fine with manufactured frames, bodies and suspension parts IF they just conrolled the cost of the engines...  Too easy to spend buku $$$ and with the fancy suspension parts, get the power to the ground...  Give me small engines and skinny tires and I'll try to outdrive ya...  Have fun without us, I really don't miss it...

Even if the point fund remains the same, an increased weekly purse will make a huge difference over the course of the whole year.
