I agree with Don Spatarico here also.
The 6 divisions on a more than likely freezing evening doesn't sound fun. But they should get a good amount of race starved fans anyways.
I will be driving out to Mercer Raceway Park, Love watching ULMS & UEMS racing series and there is some nice folks I met down there last year that I am looking forward to meeting up with again this year.

Lets all hope for great weather for both Black Rock & Mercer!!

Im glad I'm not the only one who saw this scheduling and did a little head scratching . Six classes on whats more then likely going to be a very chiily day is three too many. Quite frankly six divisions on any night is too many for me.

Just remember, gentlemen, the track IS still for sale, if any of you are interested in purchasing it so you can all do a better job. Sorry. Just getting sick and tired of "race fans" who are never satisfied. Black Rock does have a re-entry policy, even for the pits. If you are cold, or simply don't wish to watch a class - simply go sit in your car and warm up. Now, it has been a LONG winter, and I have had minimal interaction with people I both like and enjoy watching race, so - with teh cooperation of Mother Nature - I will be standing in the pits, freezing something important off, I am sure. And there is enough to do that you won't even notice the passing of time. #quitcherbitchin

Have not decided if I will be going to Black Rock or Mercer on the 30th. Racing this time of year in this area can be a real crap shoot no matter how many divisions at what track. Dress warm!!!

Where's the bitching? Opinions now = bitching I guess. It is my OPINION & several others that Black Rock tries to do to much with these early season shows. The go or don't go has lost it's effect because most people took your advice long ago. They don't go anymore. Black rock could hit a homerun with these shows if they made them a little more fan friendly.
I'll go next week. Probably by myself because there's no way my wife & kids are sitting through a 6 division show in March. So that nets them 1 adult admission & a beer or 2. Now a tight run 3 division show gets them 2 adult admissions, the above mentioned beer + hot dogs, popcorn nachos & sodas. I think that means more $$. Of course you'll find a way to tell me I'm wrong.

Fan friendly at this time of the year meaning what? Heated seats? You either go because you can't stand to not be at the first race of the season and bundle up or you sit home and wait until it is warmer! Who cares if they run 6 classes or 1.. Still cold... Still a shot in the dark as to how the weather will be that day! What's next, complain because it is to hot in July? Kuddos BR for getting the show rolling!!!!

I agree with the opinon of, It's been a long winter....lets see some racing!!! Tony's right, if you don't want to go stay home until the weather gets better. Or bring your signifigant other and go back to the car and get warmed up after qualifying....wink, wink.

How soon we forget...

Spats doesn't mention how old his kids are, but if they are under 10, it's not likely that they'll want to sit outside through 6 classes when it is 40something degrees with a brisk wind. You guys are right... he doesn't HAVE to go. But you aren't reading his original post right, either. He is asking if there was a scheduling mistake to determine if he was going to drag his kids to the races or not. How do we know that he isn't separated from their mom and this is his weekend with them and was looking for something to do with them? Maybe his wife has to work that day and he wanted to go to the races after a long off season but has to watch the kids.

How sad is it that you can't even ask a question anymore without being criticized?
If they can have artists, pianists, florists, dentists and bicyclists... then I must be a racist.
