Erie, Pa (January 18, 2013) - Lake Erie Speedway released the much anticipated “2013 Season Fueled By Kwik Fill” schedule, which will continue to showcase the best weekly racing, touring series, and special events in the region from May 25th through September 7th. The “2013 Season Fueled By Kwik Fill” will begin on Saturday, May 25th with the standard five division “Night at the Races” line up including the Plyler Overhead Door Modifieds (NASCAR), Street Stocks (NASCAR), Jensens Target Collision Compacts (NASCAR), Legends (US Legends Cars International), and Bandoleros (INEX).
All Lake Erie Speedway weekly race divisions will see an increase in Feature Event laps with the Plyler Overhead Door Modifieds, Street Stocks, and Legends running 30 lap feature events in place of the traditional 25 laps. The Jensens Target Collision Compacts will run 20 lap feature events in place of the traditional 15 laps. The Bandoleros will run 15 laps in place of the traditional 12 laps.
Several “Night at the Races” will be complemented by special appearances from touring series, some familiar and some new to Lake Erie Speedway. The Casey’s TQ Midgets will make their annual visit to Lake Erie Speedway on Saturday, June 8th with an added bonus of the Casey’s TQ Midgets returning for a second event on Saturday, August 17th. On Saturday July 20th, fans will be treated to an awesome “Night at the Races presented by Jim Moss Builders” featuring the Must See Racing Supermodified Series making their first appearance ever to the speedway for a 40 lap Feature Event. The “Night at the Races” on Saturday, August 24th will be another first ever appearance for a touring series as the USAC Midwest Ignite Midget Series run in a 40 lap Feature Event.
The very popular Advance Auto Parts Monster Jam featuring Grave Digger is set to thrill fans on Friday, June 21st and Saturday, June 22nd, and the fan favorite Crash-A-Rama featuring School Bus Figure 8 Racing is scheduled for Saturday, August 3rd.
Speedway management is in the final planning stages for the “LAKE ERIE SPEEDWAY MidSummer Music Fest”, which will be a FREE concert on Saturday, July 13th featuring several support acts and a feature act taking the main stage set up right on the track surface of the speedway.
