They should do a TV series on this. Maybe call it Dirthouse.  ;D ;D ;D  The guy in the yellow car was taking his sweet time getting out wasn't he?

I wonder what the reactions on here would have been if the second video played first ? I'm thinking most would say it was 'just payback' . It looks to me that the YELLOW car was the only one running the high lane and it worked untill the bottom feeder was losing the lead and decided dumping the guy was his only means of 'defence' I don't think it was too cool to wait for the guy but yellow sure got a chance to 'voice' his displeasure.

Im all for puttin the bumper to someone, but thats rediculous. The yellow car was so much faster on top i guess he should of stayed there.

I don't really know if the 96 had time to react.  Things happen a lot faster inside the car, and it is easy to speculate sitting in the stands.  At best they are both racing incidents.

Regardless of who was at fault for the yellow car being turned around, the way he reacted is ridiculous.  That is how people get hurt, and it has no place on the track.  He shouldn't be allowed back, using your car as a weapon is a major no-no.

If you want to prove your point, get out of the car and do it.

And to me, the yellow car was running on top and switched to defense mode by going to the bottom (where his car did not work). I say he took himself out. In either case, the end result was that he waited for the guy to come back around and then buried his foot in the throttle - using his car as a weapon, and that's just wrong.

This is another point... the yellow car got took around by the white car. It's part of racing. When you are the driver of the yellow car, your first thought is that someone took you out. When you are the driver of the white car, your response is always that he shouldn't have checked up.

I know this... if I was the driver of the white car, I am getting arrested twice. The first time would be for the assault charge I got for giving you a beating for trying to kill me with your car. And the second time is immediately after I post bail, for having me arrested in the first place.
If they can have artists, pianists, florists, dentists and bicyclists... then I must be a racist.

Using your race car as a weapon for retaliation like that should never be condoned and proper, stiff penalties should ensue.

The first time the yellow and white cars touched exiting the corner, I would call that a racing incident and wouldn't pin it on either one.  The yellow car was loose coming out and came down the track, at the same time the white car pushes up coming off the corner and the two hit as they go for the same piece of real estate.

The second time, the yellow car does get loose and starts to come down across the front of the white car, however the driver of the white car doesn't lift at all and just drills the guy and turns him.  Still a two-way deal, but I would pin that mostly on the white car, as he could have lifted and not just dumped the guy.

What the yellow car did to retaliate is something that should be considered criminal.  Using a 3000lb weapon to purposefully wreck and wall someone should get you arested in an instance such as this where it was obviously done on purpose and full throttle.  If you are upset with another driver, there are much better ways to handle it.  Someone with a temper like that will end up killing someone and does not belong on a track.

When they bring legal actions in to racing incidences like this it will ruin racing. Once they start pressing charges for things like this it will get out of hand. I read on lasalle's website that the guy is banned that is penalty enough.

This type of behavior should not be tolerated in racing, but unfortunately many of those who we race with think this is how you take care of business. :-\

If legal actions were put into place, it would certainly make more people think about doing this sort of thing.  True, this driver was kicked out for the season, which is a good penalty on behalf of the track, but he could just as well go to another track and do the same sort of thing without really learning a lesson.

Luckily the driver in the white car was not injured after getting slammed full throttle into a concrete wall.  Had he been seriously injured, or even worse, you may change your tune about what penalties should be applied.  Sorry, tapping a guy with the bumper or turning him is one thing, slamming him at full throttle into the retaining wall coming from the bottom of the track is another.
