Racing Discussion / Re: Rolling Wheels 2019?

Yes but Jeremy puts out a dry slick track,(Dust). Will it be slicker and dustier? That place is tuff to watch during a daytime show. It is also no fun to race on when you cant see and you go that fast. I think I have been there once when you could see the cars on the back stretch. I know, I am being negative and the place needs to be saved.

I found that the show is promoted like Pro Wrestling or Roller Derby. I do have to say that when I was a kid at Spencer or Oswego there were good guys and bad guys, heroes and villians. There was always a rivalry. Example: HEROS- Tom Leason (Snoopy Car), Don Whalen (The Candy Man), Dick Kluth ( Just never won). Richie Evans (Rapid Roman).

Villians- Gooff Bodine, Maynard Troyer(Sorry KT), The Triechlers.

The cars were all different and had style and personality. I think Most Villians were disliked due to winning all the time and some creative use of the chrome horn or they were just invaders. People want to see a confrontation,(fights in Hockey). Every one goes to Bowman Gray the following week to see some payback or retaliation. Also, That track is so small and tight that most times the only way to pass is with the bumper. Don't you think people want to go back the next week after a ramming fest after the checker flag. It seems to happen every week and that is how the show is promoted. Don't you want a front row seat when MTJ Dumps Lagano and crushes his hopes to be the champion?

That is a good question and I herd it was a great race. Historically it would seem that road courses are less popular. Is it due to the few amount of races in the north east.

Why is Bristol half empty for the spring race? Is the racing so much worse than the Glory days? This is just a trend, people have other things to do.

Did he ruin it or are the times a changing? I think all racing is in trouble. Look at asphalt Mods. Other than Fulton, car counts appear to be down everywhere. How many teams run the full DIRT tour this year? A lot less than last year. I look at it like hunting. Statistically we are in big trouble. Our numbers are not sustainable. There are so many other forms of entertainment that don't require work and $.

A race car is great for stacking your outdoor lawn furniture on top of during the winter.

Rims and Tires make great planters!

I have all these race car parts listed and i cant give this stuff away. I took 6 Sherwood lightweight bead lock rims to the scrap yard and got $20. WTF $20!!!! I will start: A Dirt Mod Roof is great for Hanging your Deer over to keep the floor clean.

Dan19, I respect and understand your opinion. I don't think anyone should race under the influence of anything. I just think it is total BS that someone can smoke a joint in the safety of his own home but then test positive 2 weeks later. They treat you like you were stoned before you got in the car and you are a Druggie/Burn out. That's Wrong.
