The Larry Huff car was originally an 18 (I think) but the oldest recollection I have is Bobby Hudson driving it as a #10, as a teamcar to Elmer Musclow in the #18. The #10 became the #81 when Lee started driving in 1965. The Lee built the sedans & the coupe went to Larry Huff as the #21. I saw a photo recently of the #10 & #18 together on the haulers (I think Monroe County).

tom - I found this photo of Murphy from 1966. Does not show the whole car. I will keep looking.

Racing Discussion / Re: Photos at Race tracks
« on: 22 May, 2017 12:17 »
I have personally only seen 1 local track with the 'no photos' posting. I can see that there should not be photos/videos taken by private parties that would then be sold - negatively affects the track photographer business. But for private fans who are taking photos for their own use? No way to police that. As for the 'live videos' - that does take away from possible fans in the stands, but what about the people who 'live text' the race results? Same result, and no way to enforce unless they made everyone check their cellphones at the gate. Maybe have camera/cellphone fans sign a release when they enter the facility, stating the photos are for personal use & will not be posted 'live'. That whole 'drone' thing is another sticky issue, in addition to the possible safety issue if the thing crashes into the stands or a racecar!

Very interesting topic!

we went there on a road trip a couple of years back. cool little place. the dirt cars were fun to watch! I think the track also ran under the name 'Kauneonga Speedway' for a while. For the old timers, be sure to visit the original Woodstock site & the Bethel Arts Center (just down the road). Great videos, photos & memorabilia from the original Woodstock event.

My condolences to the Montgomery family. Gary was a part of my growing up in the local racing community also. I will miss his friendly face & voice at the racetracks. RIP Gary.
