Street Stocks at Shang II May 29th ?

Josh originally the date was the 28th and then it got changed to the 29th and then our cars were taken off the schedule. Now the streets are back on but with a 1070 only. I'm not sure what having a race in Chemung on May 1st has to do with tires that will be used on May 29th but that is why that tire is being used.

Why not run the race exactly same as the haunted on the hill. That worked out great there was zero complaints. And a lot of cars

I have to agree with Bill...The Haunted Hill was tremendous success with no complaints from the pits/or the stands... , esp. since we are only trying to run like 6 races at SL2 all year, why not keep everything as open (yet fair) as possible to attract as many regular competitors as possible (and hopefully some new ones as well...?)

Tires are one of the big issues I have been working on this week and there is no easy answer to make everybody happy. Don't say Buck said I am just throughing this out for some feedback. First its hard to control running new vs. used because some guys could scuff these tires in and say they are used. I need to stay with Hoosier if I can work a deal for a lower price on tires for all classes. The 45 tire is softer so faster in my book is why I wanted to run everybody on 1070's and if you wanted to run F75's it would be of no advantage. If I open it up to new you may spend about $460 and have tires for the next few races. I don't know the final pricing yet but it takes time to work this part out. The 1070's are readily available from the b-mod guys that will pretty much give them away. If you guys feel that we can run both tires I quess I worried about nothing and if you want to police each other for new vs used or open it up if you want to buy new. I have a meeting Thursday so I would appreciate any feedback from you guys and please keep it civil. On the other hand Jody Buckley has just informed me he will no longer be in the tire business for Hoosier he is sending his inventory back today. Don't let this effect your decision we will find a way to resolve this issue.

Open tire rule on the 3 types of tires. The tire that wins the race gets no "tire bonus" the best finishing car of the other 2 types receive a $100 bonus. Allow the 1070, f45 , f75. No fresh rubber. If they want to go through the trouble of buying them and then scuffing them somewhere else i guess that's what they will do.....check them as they come into the pits and mark them then.And keep track of what kind of tire each driver is using that day. More than 20 street stocks will show if you do this.

How about if we mark tires before warm-ups and you see tech before changing a tire, they could also mark your left and right spare

I'm sure NYSS can also tell you what used tires should durometer at also.  That will help with new & soaked ties.

I would concider making the trip if it was Nyss tires and rules, I have 3 super stocks and a fourth guy with a car who will probably follow wherever I go

how about a consession nyss rules, with open tire rule for guys with the other types of tires? i understand that we all want an even playing field but by giving the tire bonus to other types it makes a race with in a race. Everyone wants to " win " the race but we also just want to race. The fans would rather see 20 cars on different tires than 8 cars on the same tires.jmo. ill be there if there are 2 cars and hoffman hot dogs on the grill.

let them run any used tire. y do people say i will come only if you run this kind of rules lets just have fun and race 1070/f45/f/75 and the american race 10.0 motors no light weight trans 4 link rear 3200 lbs 56 ls . have a cook out drink some beers and enjoy the track

I sure hope some kind of tire rule can be determined...be great to see a lot of cars with an open rule package of some type...   
esp. with a lot of these guys talking about making the show
