NYSuperStocks Series Race #4 Sunday July 13th @ Adirondack International Speedway

I have to apoligize to all we have cancelled the Mills race on July 12th, They were all so nice to us.  It is just too hard for their cars to race with ours.  Also gearing was a problem for some of our cars.

But the racing has been going so good at AIS they want us back for more.  We had a great turn out for the last race.  Set ups and gears are close track to track.

- The distance will be 50 laps
- 6 Lap heats
- Gater starts as always (restart from lap 0 to 25 single file, 26 to 50 double file)
- Draw for position, and re-draw for the main
- NYSS Rules  http://nysuperstocks.com/2014-rules-2
- Any car not meeting the rules or have questions please contact Craig Orr @ 716-432-3490
- NYSS Used 1070's (each car is allowed 1 new tire, must be checked in day of the race)
- Anyone wanting a new tire from NYSS must call and order, you can buy from your local Hoosier Dealer also
- This is race #4 out of 8
- For points we are dropping the worst finsh for each car # (DQ's will not get dropped)

Point Standings - Top 13

Good to hear!!!   Went up sunday had a great group of cars up there 21 took the green I believe.  Kind of surprised nothing on hear about the action.   One of the drivers in there truck class took a hard hit in turns one and two had to be cut out of the truck and sent to the hospital, last word was he had no broken bones.  Hope he is doing okay.   It was an action packed 29 lap race for the super with lots of passing and very little damage to cars.   Special thanks to Briana for raising the extra money for the purse.   Also a special thanks for the track raising the take the green money.    The track seems to love the super stock class and wants to succeed with there help which is awesome.  The 21 won the race on Sunday with the 11 of IDE Motorsports finishing 3rd on there maiden voyage there.  Would love to see some southern tier cars make it up for the 13th.  Track is different but is a testament to the drivers ability if you finish well there! Lots of room for racing cars were 3 wide at times with no wrecks, no short inside walls and good visibility just a different shape track.  Come show what you got!  Also a shout out to the food truck in the pits  LOVE the frozen lemonade and burgers gotta check it out   was 20 bucks to get in pits and 10 to get in the stands....   My dad wife and kids all came to watch.   Got to make the trip for this show and see this great facility, with a little support this year I could see great things to come from this track!!  Set up was better this time than last going to make another change and see where it goes.....   Looking forward to the next race!

A few comments/updates after the Sunday June 29 race:

1.  After an extensive examination, the driver of the 07 truck was released from the ER on Sunday evening.
2.  Congratulations to Tom Markham on his victory; sure is nice to see that car back at AIS occasionally.
3.  With AIS cars, Evans Mills, NYSS, and a few "independents", this was the most diverse group of Super Stock cars in one race that we've seen this year.  Several cars traveled a long way.  The Typhair family could not have been more pleased.  The 09 car couldn't race because of complications from the night before at Lancaster but still drove all night to come to the track to watch.  Classy move.
4.  With the rules being opened up to accommodate more cars, now is the time to have conversations about rules for future races.
5.  AIS needs more fans.  The heat and time of year worked against the track on Sunday.  As of now, Sunday is still race day and hopefully there will be a good turnout on July 13.  There are currently no plans to switch to an evening (this track owner DOES think about the other tracks in the area!) but fans and drivers will ultimately determine when races are held.
6.  The delay after the ambulance left the track was unfortunate and the track apologizes.  A meeting is being held this week to make sure replacement coverage is available if the ambulance has to transport.  The ambulance crew on the scene for Sunday's accident was the crew best trained for that type of emergency and therefore needed to make the transport rather than a transfer at the track.  AIS thanks the Beaver Falls group for their expertise.
7.  While this is primarily a NY Super Stock thread, we must draw attention to the torrid battle put on by Dalton Rombough and Taylor Doxtator in the Legend class.  Seeing them congratulate each other after the race was priceless.
8.  All drivers and teams were super cooperative in every respect on Sunday June 29.  AIS looks forward to hosting the NYSS cars on July 13!
