I was in line for a coffee at the local donut shop. They had a small makeup cataloge on the counter promoting x-mass specials.

The front cover featured a new men's calone called "Corner4XT" by Carl Edwards!

Give me a friggin break.

The only cup banquet I found even remotely entertaining was back in the early 80's.  Waltrip & Bobby Allison were fighting hard for the title.  Allison dropped out of the last race of the season with engine trouble.  They later discovered that someone had put sugar in his fuel tank.  Waltrip opened his acceptance speech with the following: "I just want to make one thing clear, I use Sweet & Low."
"Crate engines are to racing what Tofurkey is to Thanksgiving" - Karl Fredrickson
Distrust all men in whom the impulse to punish is powerful. - Friedrich Nietzsche
We are descended in spirit from revolutionaries and rebels -- men and women who dare to dissent from accepted doctrine. - D. Eisenhower

It seemed like everyone that spoke was taking turns trying to be comedians. Even the actual comedian wasnt funny and I usually like him. I felt awkward just watching it.

If NASCAR was smart the "champions week" would be in Charlotte, the banquet would be at the Hall of fame. For the week everybody could be involved from the race teams showing of their shops to driver's involved with the fans.  Again if NASCAR was smart and their really concerned with the fans this seems to be a no lose plan but it seems that the cities picked are where Brian was to vaction.

I'm sure Vagas paid dearly for the chance to be the Host.

Don't forget this is nascar, they don't do anything unless a "Ben Franklin" is attached to it!
