Does it matter? Big Bill can do whatever he wants with his money...He doesn't have to spend it how you want....This isn't the mid 90's and before where the place was something to buy....Why overpay for a dump expecially when asphalt is DEAD....

Bill has inquired about the Lake Erie Speedway sale; the Eriez & Stateline deals aren't done according to an article in the Erie Times-News today.

What was that sound Pac-Man used to make when he got "killed" in the old video game.

That's what's playing in my head.  :-\

Quote from the 'goerie.com' article:

"The property at LES has been listed with Howard Hanna Real Estate Services for $1.75 million. Prischak said an asking price for the complete facility hasn't been determined."

Read that carefully..... So, what does a buyer get, for $1.75 million? The track, the land around it, or both?? At 1.75 million dollars, yes the facility would be a steal. But the way that statement is worded, it appears there's more to it.

Leadfoot, I wondered the same thing. It would be hard to take the racing surface with them so maybe for that money you don't get the bleechers, fence or Kaczay.

Since the cat is out of the bag, and the AARN article has it wrong.... Melissa McGowan has been hired as General Manager of Lancaster Speedway. Melissa worked on the US Open promotion and served as a great leader and organizer. During the Open she was blown away by everyone's dedication and love of the speedway, which is why she is taking on this position. After getting to know the track and the people involved with it she came to love it as well and she will be a valuable asset in the next chapter in the history of Lancaster Speedway.

There will be an official statement later this week with some details. Please be patient if all of your questions are not answered right away, there is a lot of work to be done. Just be reassured that the track will be open this season.
GO MIKE and PAT!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
