to the Thief at Lancaster

You Suck.

Stolen: a full cooler taken right out of the back of a pickup and a stepladder from the camp site next door.
There is no respect for a short guy trying to keep his beer cold.

Nope, just a regular Thief.  You don't know who the beer was for.

I  remember in the early 90's at Thunder Mountain, someone knew that "Genesee" John Hoffmier ALWAYS had a cooler full of ice cold Genny in the back of his pickup. So for 2 weeks in a row, someone would take his cooler and beer. So the third week we saved up 12 empty bottles of Genny and filled them up with pee, put them in a styrafoam cooler, covered them up with ice and left them in the back of the truck. Just as we expected, someone took the cooler. They never did it again. I personally thought they wouldn't be able to tell the difference.

i would guess you will not see the beer again. i hope you at least find the cans. those nickey's add up in a hurry. you didn't mention the brand of beer but if it was genny i'm sure the deposit cash was the only target.  :)

You can do that pee in the beer bottles anytime. Just buy a cheap styrofoam cooler and cover the bottles in ice and just leave it sitting on the ground. Sooner or later someone will steal it. Watching them take it and drink them is an absolute riot.
