I did not vote for Trump nor Clinton, I exercised my right and voted for myself and as I looked at my ballot I said to myself "this is just wrong."

Once Trump was elected I was glad for my country as he offers hope to those who have none or lost it.  I have mixed feelings about his Presidency.  Some suggest he is mentally ill and at times I tend to believe so.  I question the extreme views of Bannon and the major role he serves as an advisor.

Kellyanne Conway whom I consider brilliant said this on 1/2  http://www.cnn.com/2017/02/03/politics/conway-bowling-green/index.html.  Cant we have more responsible people?

CNN and other major news sources have failed to include the term "Temporary" when discussing the "Immigration Ban".  This was pointed out by Glenn Beck in an interview with Anderson Cooper on 1/2.  I'm no fan of Beck's but isn't he correct?

We are in a very different time nowadays.

I thought I heard on the radio yesterday that President Trump had just signed a piece of legislation that would permit all Veterans to use any doctor they wanted and they would have the hospital of their choice.

Racing Discussion / Re: John Unamann Drag Car
« on: August 17, 2017, 09:32:27 PM »
Hey Goggles, now your digging up history, I first raced that car in 1971, it had some high tech pieces for the day, I made an fitted a complete 2x3 frame for that car, I then had Howard Conky ( show car engineering ) make up a roll cage that was a lot for that time period, today they wouldn't let the car compete without a lot more tubing, The engine was a 427Ci with a set of raised port cylinder heads that I designed myself, no one had any thing in that time period that I was aware of, the exhaust was raised 1/2 inch and the exhaust angle was changed by removing 1/2 in off the top of the runner, so it had a straight shot over the frame rail, I forget how many degrees it was changed BUT I still have the heads so I could measure, last I had designed the first mechanical fuel injection system that was a 4 port Hilborn bug catcher type that was mated to a tunnel ram manifold, nothing like that existed at the time, it was just a goofy idea I had, that fuel injection with a plenum would mix the fuel better and make more power, after making the system I had guru "Jim Kinsler" of Michigan flow the system for me and wow it worked well, now it's on most pulling trucks that you see on TV, that engine made 720hp which was very close to 1.69 hp per cube, pretty decent power for the time, The car today looks like the photo, it was never outside in weather so the car is pristine, the last owner is John Lennon of Richmond Marine near Honeoye lake, the car made a best run at Spencer Speedway of 4.80 time on the same track length of today, that was when we only had one clock time so being the highest class car I had to spot everyone, meaning if I spotted you, you would start the clock ticking and if I won I would stop the clock , now they have a independent clock for each lane so the time of 4.80 should be in the 4.70's if we had separate clocks at the time. I had run the 1/4 mile many time and the car ran it's best of 9.91 BUT it ran 143 mph, I never knew how to make it launch, but I made plenty of power to cover up my poor driving skills and I had many victory's. I also had the 69 Camaro that Leadfoot4 saw but I don't have any pics near me, I also got hurt pretty bad at Spencer when I had a transmission explosion in 1969, I had a 1956 T-Bird with a big block 438Ci Chevy with  fuel injection and I had a trick transmission called a clutch flight, well they didn't last very long in 6 months they were extinct, That is how the rear engine dragster came about with Don Garlits, he had a very similar explosion that removed about a third of his foot, and Glenn Lazzar had one blow up that came up between his legs about a month after mine, he was very lucky that he didn't get maimed. Forgot to mention B&M Speed Shop , they did the machine work for me but I designed the engines and assembled them.

Off Topic Discussion / Re: Trump on Sessions
« on: July 26, 2017, 09:18:34 PM »
I have mixed feelings about Sessions recusing himself so I guess I'm not sure.  What I am certain of is, Trump is dealing with this in the wrong manner.  His public vilifying of Sessions repeatedly is over the top.  Perhaps once, meh.  But to attack Sessions day after day in an effort to get him to resign is cowardly.  I tend to believe this is  about getting rid of Mueller as much as it is Sessions.

This whole Trump - Russia thing is exhausting...I cant help but believe Trumps finances are in some way, somehow, more Russian that he wants the world to know.  Russia has played us well sorry to say.

I have no love for Sessions but he has probably done more than all the other cabinet members combined.

Rex Tillerson (whom I like)...something about this guy suggests he didn't sign up for the chaos Trump creates and will soon depart.

Donald Trump has become a stain on the Presidency.

The statement about the president , coming from a person who did not vote or participate in any way in the last election, I find highly offensive. Funny when your guy Obummer was putting his shoes on the historical furniture in the white house, I don't remember you saying a f##king thing, when he was bowing to the moozlims I don't remember you saying anything either, now we have a president who is trying to salvage America and respects the American way you have the ba11s to call him a stain ?  Have some real ba11s and print a retraction.

« on: July 17, 2017, 09:17:56 PM »
I have had defective tachometers short out and kill modules. Also make sure your motor has a good ground, if your battery grounds goes to the frame or the cage, run a ground from the motor to the frame. When you replace the module make sure you put a good coating of heat transfer grease on the bottom of it. And use a good quality module, I have had cheap aftermarket modules from parts stores go bad in a short amount of time.

I would only add, the brand called ProComp seems to have more than it's share of issues, Tachometers are a big problem, I would leave disconnected. Good info from MBM76.

Give Danica the Earnhardt plate for Daytona.   ;)

You certainly have that correct, but I think Dale gets it, but he seems to be in a lot of turmoil with his car, I think he should quit before he gets hurt......

I'm of the opinion Trump was not attempting to obstruct justice...

Why does Trump get a free pass other than he's a Republican?...We all know if he were a Democrat how your posts would read.  I can only assume your Party loyalty is greater than your loyalty to our Country.

What exactly is Trump getting a pass from ? Comey must have answered 200 times in the last three days that Trump was not, is not under any investigation at any time, that crap comes from the fake news as a way to cloud up the hearings, Second your party loyalty vs loyalty to our country statement is a bogus piece of garbage, you had posted that you voted for yourself, how does that make you a person who is loyal to your country or at least a participant in the American process, YOU are neither, at least I voted for an American and you did not !!  After a while this same garbage from you over and over is getting old. Get a new topic, how about Hilliar being a criminal.
