Lancaster schedule just came out. 3 "tour type" mod races. 3 Super stock races(NYSS Rules). Weekly street stock, 4 cyl, sportsman and TQ. 8 regular pts plus the US open weekend to make 9 total.

Or maybe the top classes killed themselves by pricing the majority of people out of being able to run. Heck, the NYSS is expensive to run...but if you finish top 5, you can leave the race making some money.

You cant do that in LM or Mods unless you race a special show. Even so, your car cost $75,000 to run for $20,000 purse(not counting the big ones like jukasa).

Also, APC is LMSC cars basically.

NYSS series has on avg 30+ cars per race. Lowest count was 23 i believe? Largest was 48 at oswego.

Dont see that series dying. Heck, Oswego wanted them more than the 3 that were scheduled. Good racing, lots of different winners, rules enforced, great payouts.

That sounds good to me.

They are looking to add a 9th race somewhere in the western region of the state. Stay tuned.

It costs too much to get in there. If they want people, either drop the nascar deal or if people want to run only a few times a year there, then drop the non members fee so they only have to pay the nascar deal. Also, have more gas than just the 110. Get rid of the pay for a pit pad deal. Right now there are low car counts. Don't make someone pay $20 to have a pad when there is not enough cars to fill half the pits. Before i even hit the track I was $200 in the hole. Gotta make it cheaper for the racer and pay more to win. That will get you cars.

Cost to get in and race to purse winnings ratio keeps people away. Cost me almost $300 to get in a few weeks back. Gotta find a way to get prices down for people who cant be there each week.

One of my best friends at the track. Always willing to help. His parts are on my car, my parts are on his. Heartbreaking is an understatement.  :'(

How about rear disk brakes? Better racing and a lot safer!

I just got back into the SS division at Lancaster because cost wise it wasn't terrible. Changing all kinds of stuff up isn't going to be cheap nor desirable for most.

The two tracks have rules that allow you to run at either place. Let it be. See if we can get those purse money up a bit more and get the car counts back to where they used to be when I first started 10 years ago.

We had 30+ streets weekly.

Me too, was concerned looking at that pic. Good to know they are playing it safe for the fans and that they had a decent crowd. I think car counts will go up as time goes on. Might be a new sportsman there next year. Hint hint, wink wink.

Dont know if this video has been posted yet or not. Its footage of practice at Lancaster back in 1967. 32 years before I was born so I have no clue who is in the video.

Maybe Tony hit the gas to get the car to turn sharp to the left to avoid Ward? Idk, just a thought. I don't think Tony would have hit the guy on purpose obviously, maybe was trying to spray him? Idk, just don't want to think the worst of someone I don't personally know even though the video shows what it shows.

I don't see why its a bad idea. Its reality. Real life. The situation is for real, its evidence and tells the story. Gets rid of all speculation about what happened. Ward went to the middle groove waving his hands, stopped, Tony drove by, you hear him hit the throttle, you seen the kid ragdolled by the car.

Its awful what Tony did. Tony is at fault no matter what. Accident or not, its his fault. He had a whole groove he could have went down, he could've come to a stop, etc... the damning evidence is the engine revving.

I cant manually put the transmission into reverse with the levers on the tranny. Just wont. I can get it into 5th manually on the trans but when I get off the clutch...nothing...just grinding....aggravating....syncros went bad ya think and then tore stuff up?
