Racing Discussion / Super stocks
« on: February 01, 2015, 04:07:08 PM »
I'm not exactly sure how to say what I have to say without offending anyone but here it goes....... With the amount of super stocks in the area how is it you guys can think you can have 2 touring series I'm mean really , different rules tracks and for the most different cars...... It would be nice to see 30 cars trying to qualify for 25 spots but neither of you are having full fields and only a handful of tracks between both of ya that's not a good way grow anything  I'm sure this year is screwed due to contracts but both you guys are smart and your goal is to grow the class but as I see it you two need to talk and work it out and together .....bring the class together have one touring series with a common set of rules and just thing if you combine points funds sponsorship money towards winnings. You would draw more cars and maybe even draw new cars to the class, but I shouldn't have to tell you guys this . I hope I didn't offend anyone  but if it makes the racing in general better that's what matters . Thank you Fred Eickhoff

Racing Discussion / Where is everyone going racing this weekend
« on: August 14, 2014, 08:07:12 PM »
who is going to Holland saturday night?

this question is for everyone , are you willing to run on narrower tires , would you like tire options ,brand, dealer excetera, tech guys that rotate from track to track, contigency money provided for at least the top 3,maybe further.
Would you be willing to join an organization that looks out for the racer, track owner/promoter,race fans and the racing community as a whole,do you have a skill , knowledge, equipment ect to help out with this endevour.
i have made connections with a lot of the racing suppliers, all are interested, but would like to see some commitment from both racers and promoters, so im starting here , with the racers ,please comment,if you know someone who is not on here , talk to them and share there views with us,if you have a skill , knowledge or equipment just say so and i will im you.
thank you in advance Fred E.
ps this is just the begining

Thank you to all who have posted both positive and negative, im a little disappointed there weren't more, buy the ones that I got puts us all on the same page.
I will be posting the third question in this fact finding mission in the next couple of days at which point I will be asking for a little help from the racing community.
I will still be checking the prior threads and will greatly appreciate any input on the subject of saving pavement racing, this can and will be done!
Thanks again Fred

why did you park the car?     what would it take to get it out?  what will it take to keep it out?

I've basically grown up at Lancaster , even when I moved to Perry I still went on Saturday nights to Lancaster , work got in the way last year , so I wasn't there much , but I was not ready for what I saw Saturday night,i was bummed that I didn't get there till 6pm but when we turned in there was only maybe 50 cars in the lot!!!!!! I paid my 10 spot and walked in and looked around no one in line at concestions or getting beer , the end grandstand only had one person in it........and when I climbed to the top of the stands the pits looked barren , like unbelievable!!!!!! I was floored, mad and embarrassed, Holland was off so where are the cars??? well in a desperate move we loaded up and went to Perry, well disappointment followed me,a few 4 cyls ,7 ss 14 mods are you kidding me!!!!!!! not to be demeaning but the mod race was very good but the others not so much,
have the promoters screwed the pooch that bad,has the economy ruined it, what is the reason?
What do we as the racing community need to do?
Well I have an idea,if no one else does, I need to get a few things on paper and get ahold of a few people, more to come on my idea, but I welcome others.
and please if you have a car sitting please tell me why.

I only participtated on Sunday but WOW! i want to thank Ralph for getting the show in , a rather long but good show, He adjusted the price fairly , got track and infield into a raceable condition ,food was good , moved the program along ,overall a great day of racing.
I think its time we all get together , and look at the good ,and see what we as a group can to to expand on the good, which will take care of the bad.
