Zack Curren #94 won in Sunoco Modified over Tony Hanbury. Nick Robinson #15 won the NYSS that ended on lap 27 out of 40 when the lights went out - twice.

They let the weapon back at Chemung??? Good luck, our group won't be back.

Maybe the owner's attitude of "if you don't like it, don't come back" had something to do with it. It's a shame, it was a great facility, but the owner treated teams and fans like crap.

They didn't DQ Hanbury?

Sparky is Tony Hanbury, he's a weapon. I'm not sure any track owner would allow him at their track. He attacked Jimmy Z's car with a bar at Chemung.

5
I see that Sparky is up to his old tricks attacking cars on the track.

https://13wham.com/live/judge-drops-wrongful-death-lawsuit-against-former-nascar-driver-tony-stewart

Utica, N.Y. (WHAM) -- ESPN reports the wrongful death lawsuit filed by the parents of Kevin Ward Jr. against Tony Stewart was officially dismissed Tuesday.

The lawsuit stems from the death of Kevin Ward Jr., 20, in 2014. Ward was killed after being hit by Stewart's vehicle during a sprint car race at Canandaigua Motorsports Park.

Ward's parents filed a wrongful death lawsuit in 2015, claiming the crash was caused by recklessness on Stewart's part.

According to the report, the judge allowed 30 days for the case to be reopened if the terms of the settlement are not met.

It's good to see Jimmy Z have such a great year on dirt. Winning the Championship in his first full season :)

Ratman, you shoulda gone to the Tony / Tommy ROC at Lancaster for a great race instead. How was the Zach Family Picnic?

Picnic?? Maybe you're making an ignorant comment and don't realize that neither Jimmy or TJ run at Chemung anymore. Jimmy is busy winning on the dirt tracks and TJ moved out of state.

Just shows that you can go from a champ here and be winning and leading the points in a dirt car.

put a fork in them...chased the fans and now the short uneventful schedule has done them in. see ya for the roc race....

What's the matter jimmy, isn't that what you wanted? You've done nothing but bash Chemung for the past few years. Between you and the mod here at raceny allowing all the bashing of Chemung and a certain family, you wanted them gone and now he's kicking butt on the dirt tracks.

Whew....I'm glad it was the PR guys and not us gals.  Oh wait, there really aren't too many of us PR gals.
Seriously, Dave, I stopped reading raceny when Chemung became open season as a sort of stomping grounds for some.  Constructive criticism is good for any business, but the constant negativity got the better of me and I went elsewhere.  It's where I work, surrounded by race teams and fans I enjoy being around, and so much of what I read was one-sided and inaccurate.  People are certainly entitled to their opinions, I get that.  But you're asking why people have been AWOL and I'm sharing what I heard from many people at Chemung (and felt myself).

Exactly, people were free to bash Chemung and certain drivers as much as they wanted, but if anyone came to their defense, the thread was locked. I posted pictures of damage to a car, when another driver came onto the track with a bar and I was threatened with a ban.

As long as George has anything to do with, it will never get better. Have you forgotten about the races that Sharpy put together?
