Racing Discussion / Re: Dirt Track Prep
« on: April 26, 2012, 07:02:23 AM »
I would add selinsgrove that do get it right every night. I wondered the same thing about the cusion at black rock.
The big thing i see that is different here than say in the mid west where they get the great tracks is that they have the cars pack the track instead of packing the track with heavy equipment. I think sometimes tracks pack the track too tight and them the moisture cannot come up. The other thing that all the drivers complain about here is when the track gets rough because it tears up some stuff. I dont know if you can get a consistant heavy tacky surface without having a rough track every once in a while.

Five mile point is the worst plane and simple because of the owner. He gets the cars every week and dont care about the surface. JMO.

actually i did leave right after the sprints as i haveanhour and a half drive. my cousin lead quite a few laps in the imca feature witch i would have seen but i didnt want to stick around fror all the peaple to wait for tony interview. lol. one of the best surfaces i haveseen in ny in a while. I thought it was funny they pushed off the cusion before the lm feature and thankfully it came right back so the sprints had somthing to lean on. Wish all ny tracks would prep a track like that. Two thumbs up. Racing dave I will not say anything about the support divisions because I truly dont believe I said anything wrong before. I simply said I personally dont like a lot of divisions as they make for a long night. Black rock did a great job friday night at moving things along. I went for long walks between a few of the races. lol.

An apology for what?  Read my post above  i gave the track props to.running the show along well and that is all i.had asked in the.first place. Lol.

Isn't it funny how when someone posts a negative opinion on here everyone jumps on them but when you post something possitive no one says *****.

I have to say that even though there was way too many classes scheduled to race friday the track did a GREAT job at keeping the show moving along.  With the exception of track prep before the late models there wasnt a lot of down time. Also the track conditions were great with a nice cusion for the guys to lean on. The grandstands were packed as well witch is what these tracks need.

i just hope they dont drag it out. with that many classes there is no need for an intermission! I also hope they dont run the sprint feature last. I hate sitting thru so many other classes.
