Think of all those P.E.T.A. fools eating Tofurky with Hummus on the side 2day if you can.

And here I always thought P.E.T.A. stood for "People Eating Tasty Animals"!

And now was have the boss participating in an "off-topic" conversation?  WHEN WILL THE INSANITY END?!

To bring this thread back to a racing topic, let me say that Gomer's post reminded me of a quote from Karl Fredrickson of Speedway Illustrated:  "Crate engines are to racing what Tofurkey is to Thanksgiving."

Happy Thanksgiving everyone.  And thank you to all our service men and women past and present, especially the ones who can't be with their families today.

Now I get CRITICIZED for responding to an "off-topic posting, yet totally poignant one for today (and from you, of all people!)...Imagine the calamity which would be created if I decided to move this one This insanity ends when the insanity shows it's ending...

I also agree with your sentiment regarding current and past military heroes!

Hey, the part of my post about bringing this thread back on topic was just a sarcastic reply to UnderPar.  I don't see anything wrong with it being where it is.

I'd more like to think they are the "Turkey Loaf" as opposed to Tofurky......

Howie....glad for you and him on that news. My own son who joined the US Navy in Sept (11th btw) has graduated from the RTC at

Great Lakes Naval base. He now awaits assignment and school as an EM (electricians mate). So proud and happy for him.

It's nice to have a war monger in the family.  ;)
