BigFeet,
A friend of mine, Allan Isselhard, has a car that is not done, but looks quite a bit like the one in your pics (same car?). If it's not him you're looking to get information for, send me an email (wfitzsimmons@yaho.com) and I'll hook you two up.
Bill
I don't know the person. He posted on facebook looking for help. The car looked familiar, but I couldn't place it.
That vintage coach is definitely the body from the Kenny Meahl driven car and probably the whole car. I distinctly remember the little holes drilled in the rear panel. Also all the little spots around the windows that have been fixed on the body are the places where the button snaps were. The car had individual window tarps that snapped over the window openings so that rain wouldn't get in when traveling to and from the track. I recall the car being a full rear leaf spring car so that matches. I'm pretty sure the front bumper is incorrect to what the car had back in the day but I'd say it is the chassis and that is the car that's in my post a few posts back next to our 2x...I saw that car race a number of times and looked it over pretty well as it was a very nice and cleanly built piece.
Thanks Dale. I forwarded the comment and pic.
You wouldn't know what track this is?
It looks a little like Weedsport but the car is far enough around the turn that I think the wall would be starting so it may be one of the western NY tracks. Another comment on that car. If they want to restore it back close to what it was when it raced, the car had interior tin work from the window door sill that totally sealed the cockpit off. You couldn't see the door bars on the inside of the car and if I remember right they were covered on the underneath as well so that if you looked up through the wheel well or back through where the headers ran you couldn't see the door bars there either so they were sandwiched in sheet metal.....very clean. Back in the day I wondered if there wasn't just a diagonal there to save weight because you couldn't see them and the written rule at the time was "four door bars". But seeing the modern pics it's obvious it had the bars.
it looks like the back straightway Ransomville speedway

Thanks. I passed on the info. I hope to get out there and see the progress.

It's Ransomville. I remember this photo being part of a large collection for sale on eBay years ago. It's from a Schaefer Qualifier there - 1975?
Here's a pic I snapped on the way in to Super Dirt (schaefer100) circa 1974 or 75. Does anyone recognize this car on a ramp truck?
Here's another from what I believe was 1975 outside our motel near Syracuse for the Schaefer 100. I believe this is C.D. Coville just before his success exploded and he became a regular winner. The other car looks like a Schwinning chassis and is colored like Tommy Corellis' car at the time but it doesn't look quite right so if anyone can ID it have at it.
Here's a pic from 1977 at Rolling Wheels Raceway that my Buddy and Crewman Mike Hessling snapped. I believe this would be the Schaefer Qualifier for the big race at Syracuse since there's a number of invaders on this series of pics. Looks like the heat race with my Brother, Darrell Welty in the John Fisher owned #98jr. He wom a race at RWR in that car.
Another Mike Hessling photo .... Toby Tobias and Big Tom Hager at Syracuse Qualifier at RWR 1977
Here's one Mr Hessling clicked at Canadaguia in 1977....does anyone know who ran this cool Javelin in the Latemodel class?

Almost looks like the back of Kenny Moore's car.
