Sorry Herm...can't tell you any more then that. I found the photo of Herk on Facebook and the info that I put down was with the photo.
In honor of the Daytona 500 here's a picture I snapped at the 79 race. Janet Guthrie, not quite the looker that Danica is but the first modern era female racer to make a mark in the big leagues both at Indy and in Stock Cars.
"not quite the looker...", indeed! Putting on my politically incorrect face today, and just sayin', that woman was some homely!

True, but she WAS a real racer!
Does anyone know who owned the orange and white 451 that Sammy Reaks drove at Waterloo? I have also seen pictures of 451 cars driven by Sammy on asphalt painted similar to the Dutt Yanni colors. Were they owned by the same people?
Zollo Bros owned the 451 I believe..think they had a construction company
I found this while trolling through face book...thought it was an interesting pic. Don Diffendorf in a line-up @ Fulton in 1968. (JH photo)
I see the Turner Bros. car, Richie, and possibly Maynard 2 cars behind Richie.
Looks like Jerry Hayes, Sam Reakes & maybe Ron Wallace also
not jerry hayes i dont think.
Need some help with this one. I believe I snapped this at Syracuse in 1975. This cutdown is unique....more like a sixties BUG or Sprinter. The truck behind it looks like it says, Sharon so I'm assuming this car was from the western Pa or Eastern Ohio area near Sharon Ohio and Speedway 7. Does anyone know the driver or history of this car? Pic by Me.
sorry forgot to attach the pic...here it is.
Sure does look like Jerry Hayes in the #87 inside of the #18.
