Frame and body look remarkably "unrestored" (original)! I see an IH Scout frame under there, too! Neat car, back when you could be "creative" in your car building.

That car was then / is still now waaaay cool! Who owns it now?
Bill Tierson restored the car car after he got it from the Turners. that is a original and last i heard it was in Oswego
HERES A PIC OF THE SPRINTERS COMING DOWN FOR THE START IN A 1948 ESRA RACE AT SHANGRILA. I CAN'T FIND A PHOTO CREDIT.
does anyone have the season point standings for the 50's from monroe county fairgrounds?
A little more info on the #18 from Langhorne. Looks to me like 1968, which would have Lee Osborne driving. Looks like the filled-in trick side 'wings' for crashbars & the orange 'Oz' on the roof. Dutch drove the #7 that year, and Jackie Evans drove the new #81 sedan for Osborne (which eventually became the Ted Renshaw #5). I think Gary Reichert took the coupe to Langhorne in 1969 or 1970 (renumbered #78). The #18 Corvair came out in 1969.
Old mini's. Denis Taney battling it out in the 4 bangers against Bruce Detro. Pretty sure Bruce ran Volvo, not sure on denis' car.
This is a rear shot of our "Family Car" #2x. That was a really short bob on a 1940 chevy body. It's amazing how big the tires were back in 1972.
Here's a front view of the same car. It's actually robin eggs blue but the film was somewhat over exposed....photo by me.

Thanks Dale I remember being 5 years old walking through the pits @ 5 Mile with my father. When I saw the keep on truckin' I thought that was the coolest thing ever.

KC you're making me feel real old now.
I have seen you drive this year, Dale. No way are you old...
