The Bugs at Chemung coming off turn four. Shot from the hillside probably by my brother Darrell or one of my sisters Darlene or Vicky.
I need some help here. Not sure who the 2A Bug is in this L.O. Duncan photo from Cemung Speedrome.
I've posted this pic before but I know we have a lot of new people on here and I really like the action that L.O. Duncan was able to catch in this shot from Chemung. The 60x is apparently Kenny Moore "the flying Milk Man" and he is flying here. Chubby Chandler should be in the 112 and maybe Cliff Pierce in the 40 or Bud Carey if its 4D.
Not sure who the number 7 is but it's a sharp car. Cliff Pierce in the 16 barely squeezes by. L.O. Duncan snapped this one at the perfect moment to catch the tire bouncing off the earth and tire wall that surrounded Chemung. I don't know if it was before or after this time that there was a big ditch or moat between the track surface and the wall, maybe someone a hair older than me will know. Never remember hearing anybody complaining about the ditch-wall situation but it had to be hard on cars! Does anybody have a pic that shows what I'm talking about?
The 2A was Dick Regan from Pine City, NY and the 7 was Ron McClure from Troy, PA
Does anyone remember if the Dick Regan 2A pictured above is the ex Earl Bodine 188? also of note is the Chandler #112---this car was a sister car to the B13 that Pat Judson drove and was built in the Elmira, NY shop of Ernie June-----The #4 of Frank Chapman---is that the T K McClain owne car that was called the Dixie Twister?
The 2A of Dick Reagan was the former 188 of Earl Bodine.
Yeh Allen. I,ve been tryin to get in touch w/you. But my computer say isn't quite what it should be. Believe it or not, I live between you & dad. Between 1/2 & 3/4 of a mile south of Peterboro on Pleasant valley road. You'll recognise the place by the stock car chassis in front of the garage
The #33 Falcon looks to be an ex-Troyer car. Who's driving it?
#33 WAS EDDIE RAFFERTY. I REMEMBER THAT CAR HAD A FEW PAINT SCHEMES AND DRIVERS. IT PROBABLY WAS A TROYER CAR, BUT I CAN'T SAY MYSELF. ANYONE ELSE KNOW?
