The 26 is Frank Mears. That is Gary Iulg in the Gil Bruss 22. I think in '75 or '76, Roy drove a Mustang bodied modified #1x. I don't remember much of him after that. I only went to a couple races in '77 and '78.
A couple of young rookies from 1974, who are still actively racing today. Obviously they had better days. As a matter of fact, I saw both of them at Brewerton last month, and both finished in the top 6.
The #14 is Alan Johnson. Bottom photo of the #42 is Pat Ward. Guessing of course. I don't know the #36 or #13.
Actually that is Pat Ward. Bud had a modified that looked similar (both had mustang bodies and were numbered flying 42). The 13 is Jim Jarvis, who I believe was modified rookie of the year at Weedsport in '79. I think Pat was a rookie in the modifieds the same year.
The other pic is Alan Johnson spinning in front of CNY racing legend Bobby Cain.
Next week I'll post some of my program covers (Weedsport/Rolling Wheels/DIRT). I won't bore everyone by posting them all (I have about 100), but I'll post a couple of the older ones.
I'm loving this. I like that the captions are cut out so that you can't cheat your memory. I'm not going to reply to all, but I'm definitely paying attention.
I wouldn't mind SEEING all of the covers. These mystery drivers are fun to guess. Keep them coming
ANYBODY GOT A PICTURE OF RICHIE EVANS FLIPPING ON THE FRONT STRETCH AT WEEDSPORT IN THE LATE SIXTIES OR EARLY SEVENTIES!!!! I WAS THERE SITTING LOW IN THE PIT GRANDSTANDS AND SAW IT, BUT THAT'S ALL I REMEMBER. I THINK FULTON RAINED OUT OR WAS OFF FOR SOME RASON, SO EVERYBODY THAT WANTED TO RACE OR SEE RACING HEADED TO WEEDSPORT.
Richie didn't run Weedsport that many times. He has 1 win at Weedsport, in '71. It probably happened before my program collection starts (1972). I don't have much memories from before '72 (I was 6), so I'd guess '71 or before. The first big flip I remember (and one of my first vivid memories) was in '73 when Walt Ellison almost ended up in our lap near the turn 1 grandstand. And I used to have a picture of that. It was on the front page of the gater news.
Take a look at argonrcn's avatar and then Roy Schenks pictures in this thread and tell me if that isn't the same car. Roy was from Naples, and Dutch was from Naples at one time. Possible?

Not a very good pic, but here's one from the front page of a very worn Gater News dated June 16, 1971

The date of the gater news is interesting. Richie's only Weedsport win is listed as June 20, 1971.
