Ron Hall in the #28
A 1973 Show Car engineering tube frame (first year they were legal on dirt circuit) under that corvair body. It became a baby blue gremlin for the next two years and carried me to my first modified feature win at Canandaigua in '75.
BTW, did you notice the two carbs on the Harry Peek car?

I didn't know that ended up being your gremlin. I read in one of my programs (or maybe somewhere else), that Ron ran a stock motor in it.
I think Ron Hall was from Batavia. He once raced this car on the pavement at Lancaster Speedway. I remember he cut thru the infield in turns 1 & 2 and threw the car sideways like he was on dirt.
Does anyone have photos of Jack Johnson's older brother Joe Johnson ? Through his career he drove a cream color #32. Joe passed away this pass June at the age of 68. Looking for some C.D. Coville pics as well. Thank you for the photos Bigfeet13.
The only pic of Joe Johnson I have is from the '75 Gater News Yearbook. Not sure who the photographer is. Probably from the '74 season.
A few more of the Fonda guys, 1974. And, a little trivia.
Can you name the three 22's.
Not Will Cagle in the 24. Hint...His son ran Cup in the 90's and was (or still is) a commentator.
I can't name all three 22's, but the top picture - far left is Dave Lape. And I'd be interested in knowing more about the far right 22 (middle car - center picture). I'd be willing to be that it was a former Dutch Hoag car.
The middle #22 is Gary Iulg. The #15 is Lloyd Holt.
My guess is Ed Spencer,Sr. in Will Cagle's #24. Jimmy Spencer's father.

The third 22 is Roy Schenk. I don't know the history of the car. Maybe Darrell or Dale would know. I never really thought about it looking like a Dutch car. Dutch only ran Weedsport a couple times. I did see him run at Fulton a couple times, and maybe Oswego, but that was after he had the coupe.

That's a good guess, but no. Hint #2...Think USAC/Indy.
Wally Dallenbach
Bingo!!!! I believe he was in town to run the Salt City 100.
I took a shot at Cagle's #24. Who is in the #26 next to Holt's #15 ? I saw a Roy Schenk at Syracuse in the early 80's. He drove a #01 pinto. Is the other #22 Gary Iulg ? I have alot of photos from the Schaefer Syracuse races. I think I have Roy Schenk's #01 from 80 or 81. The photos are from 1980 - 1985.
