Last one for today...gotta get ready to head up to WGI for the boring high-speed parade! This was in the Gator news. Once again the Ex-Carrol/Bolia coupe in a crash at Rolling Wheels. I believe Sam Carista spun and Darrell only had those old Buick Drum brakes so Sam got a face full of Blue Coupe and model "a" front axle. Darrell always jokes about that frist modified season that we found and used up every FORD Model A axle in the seven surrounding counties of our home. The car had cross buggie springs for suspension on split wish bones front and rear. The heighth of technology! It's funny but the next car we had was inboard KONI coil overs with cantilever arms on the front. Goober Schiedel once joked to us about the huge leap in technology that we had made in one season although the rear suspension on our second modified was stll just longitudinal Chrysler style leaf springs. Not sure of the photo credit on this one. Sorry, I see it's by Dick Tanner from the Gator.
