Argonrcn... You posted all the Shangri-La covers from '72 except the one with my father on it! Well, maybe a couple others too. But thanks for the photos!

Always liked that car, and from what i can remember from when I was little he was a good guy. Is Graeme still around? Last I heard he was still living in or near Constantia.
Does anybody have a pic they can post of Dutch Hoag's 1st Camaro? I think it was totalled the 1st time out at Shangri-la, but I never saw a pic of it. Anyone?
Does anyone know if the street version of the Loescher #88 still exists. Used to love seeing that going down the road
Last I knew, Danny Wilmes has it.

A few pics I took at Weedsport, 1979. As you can tell, a photographer I was not. In my defense, I was 13.
Walt Mitchell and Tony Vickio (I think)
Mike Colsten, Brian Stevens, Mike Romano
Andy Romano
Will Cage (yes, I was the Cagle fan. There might have been another, but I didn't hear it)
The other car with Walt Mitchell might be Bill Best in the 50.
Argonrcn,
Thanks for the Dutch Camaro pic, but that's the one I have seen already. I'm real familiar with that one, but my understanding is there was another Camaro that preceded it. I never saw it, but I heard it was destroyed the first time out. Maybe it had full front fenders and maybe still in primer? IDK, but thought soomeone on here might be able to shed some light.

I'm pretty sure Bill Best had a light blue #50 in 1979. I had a picture of his car in the pits. I'm pretty sure it was either Tony Vickio or maybe Ike Connelly. I had it written in my old scrapbook (which I can't find). It was either the #16 or #17. I guess it would have been easier if I knew how to shoot pictures back then, or if I didn't loose a bunch of pics, programs and my Will Cagle autograph while moving in the late 80's.
This car appears to be orange and white. I remember Vicchio driving a pewter and orange colored 15 Chevelle, similar to Llyod Holt's modified, but hey... I don't remember everything
And by the way - if you've got more old late model pictures, I hope you post them. I think the late models were the reason I've always had a special place in my heart for Street Stocks.
Shamrock 3x, concerning Dutch Hoag's Camaro that you are asking about, as I recall it debuted opening night 1968 at ShangriLa. The second week it was destroyed in a crash. A coupe was then very quickly built to replace the Camaro, as I remember.
