Help with names - Kenny Shoemaker #50, Maynard Forrette #006, Chuck Ely #115, Sammy Beavers #81, Merv Treichler #58, any idea on outside of Beavers ?
Last pic - Leckonby or Ely ? Who's racing him ? I think I guessed most of them right. Love the pics, it really makes you think of the good ole times in racing.
I believe from looking at another pick in the same program, that's Toby Tobias in the 1 on the outside. You are correct about the rest of them (except not sure about the 006). Some pretty good drivers there. I was never a big fan of watching races at the NYS Fair track (even though I live 4 miles from the track). But everyone who was anyone in the Northeast ran there.
That's Chuck Ely in the 115. Not sure who's outside. There was no caption.
bigfeet13 - thanks for identifying the #33 as Mike Rizzo. I had that one listed as 'unknown' up to this point. I assume that's the same Mike Rizzo that raced the supers at Oswego?

Certainly looks like The Rizz behind the wheel...

Glad I could help. Yep, that's the same. My Dad was crew chief on his super in the 70s. I tried to e-mail you (from the website) when I found it, but it bounced back.
Was the last pic at Weedsport from the Schaefer Qualifier ? Their are some heavy hitters in the picture. They must have drawn a pretty good car count.
It's actually the Robert Petrocci Memorial at Rolling Wheels. It was the Labor Day, after the NYS Fair race, so there were a lot of big names in town. The article on the Robert Petrocci Memorial said there were 60 cars. I'll have some more pics next week. I've got a few more programs to go through. Click on the pic, then click on the one that pops up for full size.

Is the coupe in the Art Kiser pic Jack Johnson ? Very neat old pics. It brings back alot of memories. Is the last coupe in the pic Jack Johnson ? Who is in the front coupe and gremlin in the middle of the wreck ? Could the first coupe be Chuck Akulis ?
