Racing Discussion / Re: Tri Track Open Modified Series
« on: May 01, 2019, 09:02:21 AM »
Tri Track race at Claremont has a date change. Due to some construction going on at Monadnock Speedway, Monadnock won't be opening til May 25. Seeing that both tracks are owned by Norm Wrenn, the Claremont Tri Track race will be run on Sunday, May 26 , with a rain date of Monday, May 27 ( Memorial Day)

Dammit that was the one Tri-Track race I was going to be able to make in 2019. That sucks but is completely understood.

Claremont was the best Tri-Track Modified feature I've seen and and I've seen most of them. Thanks to Claremont Speedway and Tri-Track for keeping the program moving along and dropping things like out of car introductions.  Crowd was decent considering at noon the forecast was calling for 80% chance of rain in evening. I'm looking forward to seeing Tri-Track back at Claremont.

NA$CAR just pulled the sanction from the track and the Whelen Modified Tour race

Other than the Saturday "rain out" fiasco, I loved the show on Sunday despite the cold temperatures (due to wind off the lake). I'm planning on going back for at least three days next year

There is no onsite parking, as the usual parking areas are all camping areas and/or the pit area. They have parking offsite with free trolley service to shuttle spectators back and forth

Lemmy RULED! Probably the only rock star to keep the coolness factor from the 1970's right through 2015. I'm on a Motorhead marathon for the day.

Racing Discussion / Brewerton or Albany/Saratoga???
« on: August 26, 2015, 09:11:36 PM »
I'm coming in from New England next weekend for the Oswego Classic. The last few years, my Friday stop has been Brewerton. Love the track, the racing and the timely efficiency that they run the show off. I see that there is the bonus of having the Empire State Sprints in next week.

BUT, I was planning on Albany/Saratoga, because I have never been to that track. I've heard great things about the facility and the racing there.

Albany/Saratoga is one of the four tracks that I need to cross off my list (the others being Fulton, Orange County and Fonda).

Which do the regulars here think will be the better show? I'm really stuck on which track to attend.

Thanks in advance

Was never, will never be a raiders fan, but absolutely loved watching Ken stabler play. One tough quarterback. Will always be a favorite of mine.  R.I.P.

Can't wait. I've been looking forward to this since the checkered flag at Seekonk last year. Weather forecast looks good too

Don't forget Logano's crew chief, Todd Gordon, used to race Limited Supers at Oswego in the early to mid 90's

Can't wait. If these three races are anything like last years three shows, it's going to be my 2015 highlights as well

Glad to hear that. Love that track. It just needs a little TLC and solid promotion. Looking forward to returning
