Holy Cow - Watkins Glen tickets

If you buy tickets at the gate for the Sunday NASCAR cup race at Watkins Glen it will cost $120 for GA and $130 for a grandstand seat. I'm not NASCAR bashing but HOLY COW.

SCCA Majors Tour - $25 one day, $30 weekend

Six Hours at the Glen - $85 weekend $75 one day

Ferrari Challenge - $40 weekend, $35 one day

NASCAR race - $105 Sunday, $115 weekend (if buy in advance)

World Challenge - Weekend - $70, one day - $50

Vintage Race - Weekend - $65, one day - $45

Beer Festival    - $40

For comparison - Mid-Ohio GA (note, these prices went up effective Feb 1, and do not include $5 surcharge at track):

IMSA - $55 one day, $75 weekend

Vintage Car - $30 one day, $40 weekend

Vintage Motorcycle - $35/40 one day, $60 weekend

IndyCar (includes USF2000, Pro Mazda, Indy Lights) - $40/55 one day, $75 weekend

ISC needs to make money somewhere.  Seems like many of the other tracks and the TV ratings are dropping a deuce.  As of right now I don't think I could sit through an entire race that was not on a road course or at Eldora. They're just too long and boring.  The fact that they put the road course in at Charlotte supports my opinion.

FWIW, As soon as I got done reading it, I forwarded this topic this morning to my boss at The Glen--he thanked me for doing that. 

Once info like that is announced, I don't think anything can be done to change it, from that point on!
