PROFILE UPDATE

Admin I was just wonderin why I cant change my profile and load a pic for my avatar.When I hit change profile  it goes to a blank page.Bozscott

Not quite sure why that happened to you. Everything seems to work fine.

When you click on the PROFILE button, the page goes blank? What version of internet browser are you using? What type of internet acccess do you have? Cable, moden or DSL?

It"s highly recommended that you use Firefox to do internet browsing.

"MY REAL NAME" is now required for registration. For your own credibility and accountability we suggest you accurately fill out this profile field. Thanks!

I had the same issue as the original poster when trying to upload a picture for my avatar.  After clicking on the "Change Profile" button it goes to a blank screen. 

I tried a different photo and it seemed to work but the photo does not display.

Is there an image size or file size limit for avatars?  I searched the help but it doesn't specify anything other than the image size that is included in the signature line.

Jeff, I played with some avatars when the site first went online for testing, and I almost think the forum will automatcaly change the pic size to fit the avatar window, but I used pics that were already 110x110 pixel....

 I have edited my own profile just tonight with no issues, possibly a firewall or security settings my be the cause of some issues?

Thanks for the input Mike.  I'm still not sure what caused the blank page, my assumption is that the other image I tried was too large or too big and that is what caused it to stumble.

As for the avatar, I resized my photo and it worked.  Original photo was 1408x732 and 498Kb, I resized it to 640x333 and 159Kb and it worked.  Again not sure if it was the dimensions or the size that tripped things up, but it seems that resizing the photo is the solution.
