After watching Keselowski lead 446 of 500 laps this past Sunday at Martinsville, I have come to the conclusion that NA$CAR can change the schedule all they want, Dancing with the Stars is probably going to be more exciting to watch.

I'll be interested to see what Pissano has to say about the changes as he now has a direct connection to the France family since his visit to Daytona this past February.

Sincerely,

Pocono, Daytona, Bristol, ISM ????  How did these tracks agree ??

The answer for Daytona and ISM is easy:  they are both owned by ISC and therefore work together...Bristol is also a mystery to me for this!  I'm not too sure about Pocono--supposedly, it is "independent"; but there are those who believe there's a strong connection to ISC (NASCAR).  Wait until the 2021 season schedule is announced.  I'm not too sure of this either but I believe NASCAR's "contracts" with ALL tracks (whether owned by ISC, Bruton Smith or independents) expire before that season starts.  The TV contracts will have a stake as well, so many people expect wholesale changes as that time gets closer!   Homestead-Miami Speedway is also part of ISC and I'm surprised it lost the season finale and moved it's date to March!

Moving the dates around the way they did are a bit confusing to me as how it will create a "better " race season. I think the big question is how the teams are going to deal with the "ONE" Pocono weekend. How many cars to bring ?  Extra cars or spend the night changing out everything on the one car ?  How many miles on one motor for the weekend ?  Is there a penalty for a swap ??  lots and lots of questions.  For fans... what will ticket prices be for one race or two races ..... ?????   QUESTIONS, QUESTIONS and MORE QUESTIONS.

pitslug - are you saying that they shouldn't have changed anything?  If you disagree with that statement - what would you have liked to see.

Paz is correct - 2021 is actually the bigger deal looming because of the contracts expiring with the tracks.  In that regard I think it is smart to feel some things out and test them out before looking at potentially even larger changes for 2021.

Saw somewhere that Pocono will essentially charge a "Sunday price" for both days, but that there will be multiple support divisions (Xfinity, Truck, ARCA).

Also - don't forget that NASCAR is creating the 2 week break this year to coincide with staying true to their broadcast partner who will be tied up with the Olympics.

Seems from a travel standpoint it would have been better to put the spring Texas race after ISM and then go to Atlanta/Miami/Bristol.

Charlotte/Kansas/Michigan/Sonoma could have been routed a bit better as well.
