This past Friday nights events were sponsored by Fulmer Bros. Towing and Recovery.  The fans were treated to a regular show along with the street stock rain delayed feature and a factory stock mechanics race.  Seventy two race machines filled the pit area. Twenty front wheel drive teams were on hand, all hoping to take home the "Full Field 500", which means the winner get five hundred dollars for their win.

First event to make it's way to the track was the rain delayed feature from May 27TH.  Twelve cars were scheduled to take the green.  Doug Stack did not make it back for the event.  John McAdam and Matt Vinson made up the front row.  When the green flag fell John McAdam jumped into the lead holding off Matt Vinson.  The car on the move was the 57 of Chad Ely who started deep in the field. Ely worked his way taking away second from Vinson.  He then set his sights on the McAdam machine.  He made his move coming off the turn two on the inside.  Ernie Martin who started one row ahead of the Ely machine worked his way to the front making it to second.  He and Chad raced hard in the closing laps.  It was Chad Ely who captured his second feature win of the season.

Mini Stocks were the first regular feature of the evenings events.  JR Bush and last weeks feature winner Tyler Belcher paced the field to the green.  Bush and Belcher battled side by side for the first lap.  Going down the back stretch JR Bush grabbed the lead.  Behind the top two the racing for position was three wide.  Mike Koser and Eric Ellsworth made took over second and third.  They caught the leader JR Bush.  Eric made the pass for second and kept right on going taking first away from Bush.  Mike Koser and JR Bush battled for second, until Koser spun bringing out the caution.  With the two of them battling this allowed Eric to open up his lead.  In the closing laps the #14 of Ellsworth developed some smoke.  The mechanical woe did not stop Eric Ellsworth from recording his second feature win.  In the victory lane interview, Eric reported it was a leaking valve cover that caused the smoke.

The popular IMCA Mods, were next to take to the track.  Eddie McKernan and Victor McNeal made up the front row.  When the green flag fell, Victor McNeal jumped into the lead.  Behind him a battle started with everyone trying to make their way to the front.  Harry Ely worked his way into second challenging the McNeal #31 for the lead.  An altercation brought out the caution.  It involved current points leader Eddie Sites.  His car suffered damage and he went pit side out of the evenings competition.  Victor held on to the lead on that restart, until another caution came out for JT McKernan who spun in turn 3.  On that restart Harry was able to take away the lead from the McNeal machine.  JT worked his to the front having a great battle with Ray McClure for third.  JT acquired third and set his sights on second.  McKernan did make his way around McNeal for second, but ran out of time to make a run for the win.  Harry Ely recorded his first feature win of the season.  This make the points battle between Harry and Eddie Sites tighten up.

Next up were the Front Wheel Drive machines twenty strong for their feature event.  This division made the "Full Field 500".   This means the winner will take home a cool $500 for the feature.  Marcus Wood and Jeremy Williams made up the front row.  Marcus was the 2010 track champion in this division and soon to be new dad.  Jeremy Williams is a rookie in this class for the season.   When the green fell, Marcus grabbed the lead, but had the Williams 00 on his rear bumper.  The Underwood racers made a sandwich with the Williams machine.  With Kenny Underwood taking the second position away from Jeremy Williams.  Kenny reeled in Marcus's car and made a pass coming off turn 4.  Kenny's lead didn't last long after he and Marcus made contact causing the #16 of Underwood to loose power.  Kenny ended up in the infield out of the nights competition.  Coming from the deep in the pack was last weeks feature winner Andrew Dorman.  Andrew worked to catch the 42 of Marcus Wood for the lead.  They raced hard and with the help of lap cars Dorman does take the lead.  With 2 laps to go Marcus made a move on the bottom side.  He and Andrew raced side by side for the final laps.  Coming to the checkered flag it was a photo finish with the win going to Marcus Wood.

The Factory Stock class were up next.  Bubba Peters took the early lead, until Shannon Oswald took the lead.  Peters and Mike Chilson were involved in a spin that found the #3 of Chris Dickerson hitting the Chilson machine.  It was a caution filled event, but the steady driving of Shannon Oswald found him in victory lane.

Street Stocks were ready to take on their feature.  John McAdam took the lead until he came through turn 4 and spun.  Bobby Maynard gained the lead on the restart.  The bad luck continued in turn three and four as Maynard spun.  Ernie Martin took the lead only to have another caution come out.  The officials then decided the starting lineup would be single file.  Ernie maintained his lead over second place runner Billy Price.  The battle heated up and once again bad luck turn 4 sent Billy Price spinning right in front of the whole field.  A great job of driving by all as no one hit the Price #48.  After spinning, Bobby Maynard worked his way back to second.  One last caution tightened up the field.  No one could catch the M13 of Ernie Martin.  Ernie went on to capture his second feature win of the season.  In victory lane Ernie dedicated his win to Pops Rich McNeal.

jr just bit the wall, even though its just a nibble looks like a back up car crash. these cars appear to have the ability for the front pusher to dump the car behind it. there is just no way the great jj could have lost control. he just wiggled the wheel and jr went off into the green stuff. truex was involved to. this is gonna be the second reality show survivor for a race. with the nationwide cars being of the same design that leaves the trucks to do the racing!
