This Is A Quote I Got From Crate Motor Connection:

Below you will find what comes with our most popular complete 602 package for your application. Remember this is not just a stock package with all the bolt ons. So if you are just shopping price we are not going to be the cheapest, but if you are shopping quality, we have the best bang for the buck and make sure you are comparing apples to apples. This package is a proven winning package, with many hours of R&D time. Each engine is broke in and test on the dyno, with break-in oil and then racing oil. We also spend hours matching valve springs, installing them to the correct installed height, then we profile the cam shaft to make sure how it is installed in the engine and adjust valve accordingly. We also make sure the timing is set correctly through the power range, along with make sure TDC is correct on the balancer. All the parts on this engine have been R&Dd for the past years, making sure we have a winning package.

Turn key package:
*GM 602 crate engine
*Custom CMC HP650 crate carburetor
*carburetor spacer
*Super HEI ignition system wired to MSD soft touch box with a chip and Crane 8.5mm plug wires
*Hi-Flow 150gph 7.5psi fuel pump / plus mounting bracket and pushrod
*circle track alternator kit with bracket, pulleys, belt and hardware
*Fuel line kit with heat shield (from pump to carb)
*Matched set of GM valve springs
*Break in oil and filter
*racing oil and filter / plus one oil change of oil on the dyno
*oil filter adaptor
*AC spark plugs
*all the labor & dyno (Set TDC, install matched valve springs, profile cam  & adjust rockers, break in and cut filter, dyno tune, leak test)
Above package $7400

Complete turn key package:
*HD flex plate and bolts
*High torque mini starter
*high flow aluminum water pump
*billet water pump to crank pulleys
*power steering pump with mount and pulley
*fan and spacer
*Schonefeld headers
Including above package $8300

Also included in both packages
Flow sheet on carb, Dyno sheet, and engine spec sheet

These packages make around 390 HP and about 415 torque. But we don't just look at HP. We do a lot of testing with drivability.

Orange,

Here is an excerpt from the GM Technical Manual.  Until you overcome the fear of going more than half throttle all the time, it's doubtful that you will ever use the full horsepower.  But take a look anyway.

Goggles

P/N 88958602 and 19258602 (602)
88958602 and 19258602 are rated at 350 hp
@ 5000 rpm. The 602 makes 390 ft lbs torque
@ 3800 rpm. It fits well in lower level
introductory classes that are looking for
affordable horsepower, such as factory stock,
modified, and truck. It comes complete
intake to pan and includes an HEI
distributor. It does not include a flywheel or
water pump. The engine uses a
4 bolt block, cast iron crank, powder metal
rods, and cast pistons. The 9.1:1 compression
ratio with iron Vortec heads offer a good
balance of power and durability. The 8 1/2”
deep oil pan holds 8 quarts including the
filter. The engine has a dual-plane, high-rise,
aluminum intake. This engine weighs 434 lbs
as delivered.

Goggles,What happened to Irv ? Is it the sabath and he is taking the night off ? As far as pulling the trigger, we can swap rides and pull out the stop watch.
