Racing Discussion / Re: Street Stocks at Shang II May 29th ?
« on: April 23, 2016, 07:26:18 AM »
This was never a debate about what the class brings to the table. It was more about being sure we could do everything the right way with 3 premier classes. The help, time, and rules aspect of it were what was in question. My father and I have even stopped talking a few times over this promoting thing. He is trying to do the best he can for the racers and the track but this is difficult with all the unknown variables i.e. Fans, racers, sponsors, and so on. He has been talking with everyone trying to get information, opinions, sponsors and tire deals for the race. So I'm sorry for the frustration but it's been rather hectic and there is still a lot to be done. Please bring what you can to the show because the better it is the better it will get!

I want to thank John Flock for sponsoring. Also gp,  do you think they should let the late models take off their fenders and run with the mods? I seem to remember that happening a lot.

I would like to thank everyone involved in advance. It's been a total racing community effort. The support has been unbelievable. Today's practice was filled with the areas top drivers and shows how strong the fields will be tomorrow. This race will be one of the years finest and you won't want to miss it.

I spoke with Bill Morich yesterday and from what I gather sport mods Buckley,  Morich, Hanburys, Zachs, Jacksons, Johnson, Curren, Sellars, Rought, Rypkamas, Brokaw,   34, 18, a pile of lap money and a great purse should drag in a bunch more. The super stocks won't disappoint.  I GUARANTEE IT! You will have ARCA Super speedway champion Matt K and a Bunch of the top local legend cars. The thought of Beating Matt alone should fill that field. The 4 cylinders will have great cars from everywhere. Your comments are fictitious and show the size of your...... The weather is going our way. Mid 60s. Please tell and bring everyone you can. This is about the track.

Racing Discussion / Re: ROC Three Time Champion Locked Out

He was 4th last race in a roc mod that he ran at chemung. I believe he led the rookie thing before his thing with Ed ended.  I know the flagger in question said this was not his doing and he wished Lee could race. Could you give me examples of your "always doing this or that."  These unlike the stuff you spew are interesting facts. I have seen comments on Lee's fb and other social media sites and watch some officials run their mouths like fools. People you would figure were above that. Especially since they criticize it's use.  Sometimes racing gets aggressive.  We all have been to the point we've had enough in the car and reacted poorly. If you run up front this happens more. Especially at chemung.

He never touched the flagger. Gary came over and scolded him on how if this or that happened it could have been bad. Then others got involved got in his car and it escalated to name calling. He felt 2 weeks in a row things had been done to him and officiating never did a thing. He did yell. He never touched or hit anyone. The first incident had a video of him being wrecked into the wall and officiating blamed him til the video came out on his fb(which obviously they look at). Then no apology. Is he loud? YES. Is he passionate about racing? YES. He has 2 houses, a wife and a son he loves very much. He's never been arrested, (that I know of), doesn't do drugs, and is one of my 2 best friends. He does enjoy a good ball bustin. I watch Chucky dump Jimmy Z in front of the whole field. He also could of hurt someone. My point is there are better cases of people who don't deserve to be there. Last;I know hes a bigger guy and intimidating but my brother and i are smaller and we still have winning records head to head against him. ;)

Are the super stocks going by your rules? We would like to come but like most we have vortec heads.

Thats right Gomer. Joe kept us laughing til we left. Maybe if you weren't so busy cleaning your farrets box and feeding him nuts you could have come over for a heck of a good time. And let me tell you, those folks know local racing trivia.

We had a great time! There was a lot of racing knowledge in that place.  Great food and friendly atmosphere. Gomer, Joe told me the ferret doubles your brain power. Is that why you enjoy that box so much?

Its tough to have used tires as a level playing field. Special races are the draw not the 10'' tire. People like to try and win big races with the field containing the best of the best at it. The mounting and dismounting thing sucks to. Your sandbox though.
