I have a 1981 dodge w150 with a 360 motor I put headers and a duel plane high rise intake on and now under 2000 it stumbles. I'm a little out of my relm here with the edelbrock 1406 so any help would be great!
Vacuum leak? Some of those edelbrock carbs take special base gaskets.
Once it gets above 2000 rpm it just cranks...
The aluminum high rise is most likely the problem with todays alcohol enhanced fuel, not enough carb heat, I would suggest that you look at increasing the accelerator pump shot, if you study the pump lever it should have 3 selections or pump lever locations, you want the pump to travel more, ( closer to center pivot is more fuel ) second you could back out the idle screws a 1/4 - 1/2 turn that will put a little more fuel into the plenum and will help slightly, the pump movement should help a lot.
