I called the track and i was told the American Racer Stocker tires are legal at Thunder Mountain in the pure stocks as long as they are 8 inch tires. Does this sound right to you guys.. Just want to make sure. Don't want to travel 2 hours and have to run with the street stocks with a 9 to 1 compression motor.

You may want to double check but I think the A/R stocker tires section width is wider than 8 inches I know most all street stock tires are all considered 8 inch tires but some measure 9 and as much as 10, I know this doesnt fly at Woodhull for open races it needs to be a true 8 inch tire like the A/R 245/70 which is a true 8 inch tire as opposed to the dirtcar A/R 265/65 which is wider than 8 inches, same with the dirtcar Hoosiers, maybe Thunder mountain doesnt go by this rule but you may want to look into it in case they have measuring tape out when u get there.

i raced at thunder all year, purestock can not run american racer at all. street stocks run the american racer. where have u raced this car? our purestock class is called different names at different track. penn can and dunn hill 2- Facotry stock. Skyline- junkyard dog. Thunder mtn- purestock/ warrior. if u have any other questions you can call/text me on my cell. 607-743-1832. my name is george. i will try to help as much as possible, as i would like to see as many purestocks up on the mountain this weekend as possible!  ;)
