This is our new SST Mod. We just finished it this fall. We don't plan on running a full schedule, just a few times to have a little fun. Oh btw, That's Dad standing next to the car. I painted it the same color scheme he used back in the day.

Yes Lynchmob It is. It's an 03 PT Cruiser roof, deck lid & grille. The rest is aluminum panels We made it all w/help from Ray Hedger. I have another picture, but for some reason it keeps saying it's to large. (Not every computer smart here) lol If you want I can attempt to email it to you.

Heroth00, You're right. Ray "IS" the man. He never ceases to amaze me with his knowledge & abilities. He has also been VERY forthcoming with information when I get stumped. He lives about 3 or 4 miles from me so I go over to his shop often & attempt to learn something new. ;)

Imca77, Sorry I 4got to respond to your post. If you want, I can email you the pictures as well. I have tried to post them but it keeps saying they're too big.I'm @ a loss. They were taken w/the same camera & @ the same time, yet they are in a different format. Like I said, Not very computer savvy here. lol

Lynchmobb, Glory Be! I got your email today. I think my email is messed up lol. But anyway I did get it. By all means, if you can resize & post please do & post. By the way, Is your dream cruiser for sale? lol I missed buying 1 by 1 day & wound up with the 1 I drive now. I own 3 counting the stock car plus my daughter just bought 1 herself. lol

Willy, lovin that 41. ;D ;D Nice to see a new generation of racer taking an otherwise useless car (PT Loozer) and
making something of it. This was done to Vega's back in my day. Oh and btw. What is/was the official name of
the paint on Bernie's coupes and Pinto from back in the day. Looks like you used it on the PT as well.

Thank you UticaMike. The color is a 1958 corvette color called Charcoal Grey. In sunlight, you can see the grey hue of it. But, @ night, it looks black. I tried to make it look as much like Dads cars as I could. Simple without alot of extra stuff on it. Straight forward, simple & funtional. By the way, I would like to meet you sometime. If I'm not mistaken you live in Utica. We could have coffee or something. 8)

I used to watch your dad race at Fulton when I was 11 years old and always loved the way his front brakes would turn cherry red going down the back chute into turn 3.I liked the underdogs like your dad and guys like Dale Merz and Johnny Michaels but have have to admit I was always pulling for Richie Evans.I hope this brings back some good memories.

Now, there's a couple guys you hardly ever hear about anymore. Johnie Michaels & Dale Merz. I always said Johnie had the strongest small block I ever seen. & Dales car was always a real Sharp looker. Both were tough competiters & seemed well mannered when they talked to us.

Some very nice looking race cars hope to see some of them at car show at Raceway 5 April 18th and 19th you don't have to be racing at the track, to be part of the show.
