REAR WEIGHT OF 358 dirt MODIFIED
« on: August 12, 2009, 09:16:27 PM »
in the 70's I built late model sportsman cars to run Holland, Perry, etc. 51 to 52 percent rear weight was the normal. I'm now just an interested spectator with my grandson at  local dirt tracks. Reading articles and listening to people they say dirt 358's run 64 to 68 percent rear weight with little cross weight. (or as they call it bite). Is this true and why so much. Everything I ever learned said this is way too much. If I would have put that much in our late models it would have had the back bumper in the guard rail

I have an '08 Bicknell, Randy Williamson told me to get 65% rear weight for Fonda. Had to add 75 lbs to get there.
