MEDIA RELEASE - FOR IMMEDIATE RELEASE – 6-8 -14 NEW HUMBERSTONE SPEEDWAY

Humberstone Loses One to Mother Nature

PORT COLBORNE, ONTARIO…. With strong thunderstorms coming in the area for much of the afternoon and into Sunday evening, management of the New Humberstone Speedway was forced to pull the plug on the June 8th racing program, which was to feature the first race at Humberstone for the Tri-Track Series for the DIRTcar Sportsman.

“We will be working alongside both Merrittville and Ransomville to get the Sportsman Tri-Track Series race rescheduled” stated Director of Race Night Operations Clinton Geoffrey. The scheduled autograph session that was also to be taken place will be rescheduled for June 22nd.

Next Sunday, Zanchin Truck and Trailer presents the second visit of the season by the Southern Ontario Sprints. Mikey Kruchka held off Glen Styres and Paige Polyak in the first visit earlier this season.  The PC Works DIRTcar Sportsman, Cosco Haulage RUSH Late Models, JC Auto Street Stocks, TC Decals Mini Stocks and Mike Knapp Ford Pro 4 Trucks will complete the racing card. Gates will open for both the pits and grandstands at 4:00pm and racing will get underway at 6:00pm.

The New Humberstone Speedway would like to thank all the new and returning Weekly Series Sponsors: PC Works (DIRTcar Sportsman), Pete Cosco Haulage LTD (RUSH Late Models), J.C. Auto (Street Stocks), Mike Knapp Ford (Pro 4 Trucks), and the TC Decals (Mini Stocks).

The New Humberstone Speedway is located just two miles East of Port Colborne on Highway 3, just 17 miles west of the US/Canadian Border at the Peace Bridge (Buffalo/Fort Erie).
