I think she can. I wonder if she still retires when she wins?
All hype but, didn't she win 4th place a dozen years ago?
I've got a friend who's wrenching on her team and Ed Carpenter is fast around that place...so it could make it interesting.
Either her or Marco Andretti would be a big surprise. Andretti has been fastest in practice for what that's worth come race day. I'm not sure who has had a more disappointing career.
Danica almost stole the 2005 Indy 500. She was leading from lap 190 to lap 193.

Marco...he couldn't carry Danica's helmet bag.
CAN she win it? Highly doubtful! Her new boyfriend has a better chance at another Super Bowl ring, though...that's not a prediction either!
While the single car run looks OK--and be okay for comparison for qualifying...if she makes the race, she'll still have to start in one of the 11 rows of three; heading down into turn 1 is no picnic when the track "line" squeezes down to one lane. IF she somehow can qualify on the first row, she certainly has a better chance; but if her qualifying effort gets her mired in the middle (or further back), it won't be easy. Keeping the leader in sight should be her first goal! If she's up front unscathed by any mess caused by others (as it so often did in NASCAR), then the chances of drinking the milk increase dramatically! Regardless, I hope she has a good finish!!!
I think it would be totally awesome if she won.
i thought thats why they made sports betting legal. just think about them odds!
Ed Carpenter equipment is certainly good enough. She is competent and has shown some speed there (both previously and already this week).
Combined speed is 14th so far. I think that is a "fair" spot for her - between 10th and 15th most likely to win.
Starting 7th. Definitely has a shot!!!
