MULLEN CARPETS ALONG WITH S&W AWARDS AND PHOTOS TO PRESENT THE ANNUAL LATE MODEL REUNION AT THE WOODHULL RACEWAY.

 

Three race Summer Series Late Model events between Woodhull and Clinton County to spur growth of event with added incentives for racers that compete at both venues.

(Woodhull, NY)  A tradition that started nearly two decades ago will continue on Saturday, August 1, as the Woodhull Raceway will present the Annual Late Model Reunion.  All the top stars that compete in the Twin Tiers Region will be on hand for the ULMS Sanctioned event including such greats as Bob Close of Eldred, Pa..  Fans can also expect to see many of the top Late Model drivers that compete weekly at the Clinton County Speedway make the trip to Woodhull for the yearly event.  Such top talent as Waylon Wagner and Luke Hoffner will lead the charge of the Clinton County regulars all trying to tame the high banks of the Woodhull Raceway and leave with the $2,000 winners share. Woodhull’s event will pay $200 just to take the opening feature event green flag. Mullen Carpets of Almond along with S&W Awards and Photos of Corning will be on board to co-sponsor the event and in addition to a huge field of Late Models it will also be a Big 6 Show for all of Woodhull’s regular classes of competition.  Gates for the August 1 show open at 4:30 with racing at 6:30 pm. 

This years Late Model Reunion at the Woodhull Raceway will feature a new twist as it will be a three race mini series event with the first leg being staged at the Clinton County Speedway on Friday, July 31.  The second porting is at Woodhull on August 1 with the finale at Clinton County on Wednesday, August 12. Both Clinton County events pay $1,200 to win and $150 to start.  In addition each driver that competes in all three Summer Series Late Model events will have their names go into a drawing with three names being pulled.  The winner receives an additional $250 with the other two drivers pocketing $150 and $100 respectively.
