Thanks to the folks that have emailed me the last couple of days about RaceNY going downhill. The other MB 1 person suggested is pretty cool and I'll be hangin' out there too soon. It is sad people stopped posting here to the point they had to purge all the stale RaceNY accounts. It's even sadder that the powers that be let a douche thrash a company that steps up to help the track in Lancaster... even posted on the thread to bring it back to the top. Yeah, THAT should REALLY help PROMOTE racing in NY!

BINGO! The EXACT reason I finished out Tioga's last season as Chis's "official photographer" was because I READ IT ON RACENY! [I read in Chris's PR / Results post that he didn't have pics to post from his race, so I emailed him and made the trip's down so some photo guy was at least there covering the action... & got 'em in Gater and / or AARN too] The "Pinhead Man" pitching me staying and helping the Zac's didn't hurt either. :^) [Guy who had the hat pin stand?]

I did the same thing for Chemung too when their "photo guy" left mid season... between BlackHatter asking me and reading it on RaceNY 1st.

Here's a novel idea... if a promoter or track rep posts a PR or results in the main discussion forum... LEAVE IT THERE OPEN TO COMMENT! And... if a promoter or track rep posts a PR or results in the PR section... LEAVE IT THERE AND DON'T ALLOW REPLY'S!

Why shouldn't PR's be able to be responded too? Is this newspaper or a message board?

Sodus Mike... just how much longer do we wait for more promoters / tracks to use RaceNY? Most don't use it now and it's been this way so long Admin can't even remember when it wasn't... and from what I've been reading most readers don't click on the PR section... so those that do, don't get their PR read by many folks.

MB's like Bills dirt late models have the PR's in the regular discussion forum... and tracks / series have PR's from LV, MCR, Fasttrack, Bradford, ULMS, RUSH, etc, etc, etc... AND, BDLM has paid advertisers in tracks / series / regular businesses... so it MUST WORK!

I'd like to see the NY / NWPa track / series press releases left on the general race forum... it's a BETTER way of promoting a race track as not many folks click on the pr section. Also, it starts discussions and gets people READING them, which of course is the point.

Now, PR from a track in Fla closing down or some track in Wisc running a $50K race... could go in the pr section.

Blah, blah blah... yippie another track may be closing... blah, blah blah... sounds like another track we know [wink, nod, wink] but it's NOT CNYRP and any coincidences [like an auto racing track not opening or closing down its attached drag strip] which makes up 75% of the old story, is purely coincidental. [wink, nod, winky pooh]

Paz, you sound like my mother-in-law! Calling once a week to let us know who died... even if we never met them or their families!
