Racing Discussion / Re: IMCA Modified at Adirondack this season

It sounds like there are quite a few guys up north that have them sitting around and it sounds like there are many others around the state that aren't being run anywhere anymore.

Im not sure what they are thinking for rules as I am just a fan. It looks like there are quite a few guys up north with them that want to run so I'm sure if you tell them you could have some input. I'm sure you can ask someone who knows at the "AIS TRACK TALK" Facebook page or at least tell them you are interested.

Im with you on that one. Im just a fan and certainly don't have any skin in the game and for that matter hardly know anything about the mechanic of the race car nor am I affiliated with the track in any form.  Keep the locals happy that run there regularly is the way to go.  Im all for two separate classes if there are enough cars to support two divisions.  Hope to see you again.

Its was great to see you and everyone else there today.  Everyone was AIS legal and i don't think anyone would say you weren't.  It will be interesting to see what happens as far as rules go for next year. Glad to year you liked the track and had a good day.  i know a couple week ago they put the 30 car on the clock which is an evans mills car and they were turning laps about a second faster than the fastest AIS car that day. It will be interesting to see if they can find a little more common ground or if they run two different classes or whatever else. Will be interesting to see what happens in the off season.  The more cars the merrier. Glad to hear you had a good day today and hope to see you again.

Yea I'm pretty sure almost all the evans mills cars are late models or about as close to a late model you can get without being one.  Definitely not fair for you guys dave. good thing it wasn't a points race and good thing they didn't run this year in the super stock class at ais. will be interesting to see what happens go forward as far as rules.

Racing Discussion / Adirondack Results today
« on: September 20, 2015, 06:42:54 PM »
Lots of good action on the track today for the final race of the year after a rainout yesterday.

10 trucks at the track today and the winner was Jay Sullivan

5 late models took the green for the final race of the championship and the winner was Choli Shay out of Pennsylvania. More were there yesterday but had other racing plans for the day hence the low car count.  Jerry Dineen edges Shay in the final points standing.

20 thunderstocks at the track and i think 18 took the green.  Dalton Lampson wins it.  i am almost sure matt Mclane won hard charger started about 12 and finished 2nd.

In the late model dash for the cash Jerry Dineen wins it.

in the sports compact there were 18 cars and 16 took the green.  Not sure won this race after a caution with two to go.  Andre Roggie led almost all of it till the caution with 2 to go and then on restart had an issue and went to the pits and restarted back of the pack.  In two laps he passed almost everyone and at the line it was a photo finish between him and Chuck Powelczyk.  Not 100% sure who won it.

In the juniors Skylar Greenfield wins it after the other two cars couldn't make the start.

12 super stocks showed up today.  The winner was the 18 out of Connecticut but i didn't catch the name.  When i see it I will post it.  In 2nd was 13 year old Mason Spencer in his beautiful ride.

9 legends took the green and it was Dalton Rombough with the win.

All in all a great day with a car count of about 77.  The track is already making plans for next year.

There are plans for a demolition derby October 4th at 2.  Also there are plans for multiple snowmobile races this winter around February so keep your eyes and ears open for more info.
