There will be a track meeting this Saturday Morning -Sept 14, at 9:00am at the pavilion located at the track. This will allow anyone who has any question in regards to the future of AIS to talk with the owner and the Track Officials. I would encourage anyone who can to attend, the stronger the turnout the better.

reopening the facility for the 2014 Season and are looking for any input on how to make this place a success. This is a pretty neat opportunity whether you are a racer, fan or just a supporter. If you have any further questions you can contact Bryan Yousey @ 315-955-3642.

I got this from the other post

Very easy to find. New Bremen, NY. Follow Rt. 812 from Lowville. Take a left in the middle of New Bremen (very small town) and follow Artz Rd. to the track on the left.

Kreig:  I should've talked to you Saturday at Oswego.......I remember you guys really liked the AIS track.  Hopefully in a couple days a working phone number will be posted and the website updated.  A lot of work to be done in a short time but a number of persons are pitching in.

I talked to Bryan Yousey today & with any luck, I'll be there with my SST. Here we go folks. alot of people have been on here complaining about the decline & absence of asphault racing in New York. Here's our chance to attempt to turn this trend around. Let's try to patronize this facility & it's management & hopefully we will have a race track to race @ in CNY.

if anyone is in need of a Late Model to race at AIS. We still have our Reynolds Racing 17 LM sitting in the shop doing nothing. It is not doing me any good sitting around so lets make a deal. it has no motor or transmission in it but everything else is there. has 10 races and is a great car. reynoldsracing17@yahoo.com we had a great time racing the one race we did there. people at the track where great and the guys we raced against we good also. I hope that track makes a come back. I know Billy Coyle had a great time racing his Late Model there with everyone.

I do know that the purse will come from the back gate only.  $20 pit fee per person and pit fees will go to the class purse that the driver and crew is registered.  I don't know how it's being divided from there.  It also appears all classes will be racing for the same purse....whatever comes in the back gate for that class.  Right now there's talk of a general admission fee of $5 just to get people out one last time and watch some racing.  It's definitely not going to be a money maker for anyone.

All I've heard is that most of the classes that run at Evans Mills will be invited (Super stock, trucks, sport compact, legends, thunderstocks) and I'm assuming the same rules.  Other interest has been shown for other classes but nothing definite as of yet.

There's a ton of painting and clean up that needs to be done in addition to major repairs to the infrastructure (electrical, water, sewer).  The major stuff won't be done by Oct. 6 but there's hope for some cosmetic stuff to at least make it presentable.  A smaller generator will hopefully provide enough for sound and other items.  No lights.  Potable water will be available in a tanker truck.  Porta-jons only.  Bottled water and drinks plus hopefully a food truck of some kind.  All bleachers will be re-assembled.  A couple sections were finished this afternoon.

Phone number for Lyndaker Excavating:  315-346-6624.  Keep trying as it's the office number of the owner of the track.

Still hoping for a website update by mid-week with more info.  I'll pass along info as I have it.

Did someone say SST? and..... Will there be any promotion on radio or TV in the Utica or Watertown area.  Might be nice if people outside the

racing world knew it was there and was gonna reopen.

Sunday Oct. 6 - Gates open at noon with hot laps and racing to follow.  Hoping to start as early as possible to save daylight.  Pit fee:  $20/person.  Purses will be paid out of pit fees for each class.  General Admission grandstand:  $5/person, under 16 FREE.  Confirmed classes so far:  Late Models, Super Stocks, Trucks, Sport Compacts, Legends, and Thunder Stocks.  Hearing rumors of other classes and it sounds like if enough cars come in any other class, they can run.  Call 315-346-6624 for more information.  This is the office number of Lyndaker Excavating and the track owner.  Feature race lengths have not yet been determined.  Home track rules for each class.  TV ads run on WWNY 7 Watertown beginning next week.  Jerry Dineen is helping to organize the Late Model class and will probably have more information.  I'm assuming classes can find their own sponsors to help pay a purse.  This is being billed as the "Fall Foliage Welcome All Back To Racing Day".  Catered concessions will be available and YOU MAY BRING YOUR OWN.  A good size crowd at the front gate is needed to break even; here's hoping it happens.

Would Big 10 Super Stock Rules & Tires Be Ok In The SS Class? I'd Donate Any Purse Money To The Cause.

If anyone that races in the big 10 or the nyss, or anyone else for that matter wants to come up to race here on the oct 6, please contact me and let me know.  If enough people want to come race I will try to put something together to get the purse up higher to help make it worth your while.  Man would that be nice to race you guys 20 miles from the shop rather than 3.5 hrs, lol. 315-397-8090 or 315-371-5552 thanks

I was working at the very Adirondack race (USA Supers & Limited Supers) and fell in love with the track that day. Been back twice, loved the place. I hope they can make the track successful as it is a beautiful facility.

Regarding the Big 10 SS cars:  I'm guessing the class would need to be kept separate from the NYSS class, similar to what EBRP (Lancaster) is doing at the US Open this week-end.  However, if you can bring up to a dozen cars, your own feature race would be possible.  The other SS cars can weigh in here, but for now it's probable the two would be kept separate in order to conform to Evans Mills rules.  It would be great to see the Big 10's on the AIS track.

the cars/rules are very similar between the two, the only real difference is the tires,  I think it would be much easier just to just go with 8" tires and have one full field rather than trying to separate it, doing it this way I think it would be possible to get up to 20 cars, maybe more, who knows?  The reality is, evans mills allows more to be done to the cars than nyss or big 10, so it really shouldn't be an issue, just my two cents.

Thanks Tommy, that sounds good.  Would love to see a 20 plus field.  Hopefully can have an update to post in a couple days.

I Would Go. However, I Can't Afford $600 For A Set Of Tires For One Race This Late In The Season ($200 In Tow $$$). Our Car Is Barely A Top 10 Car In The Big 10 Series (.450 Lift Hydraulic Cam). I Would Forfeit  Any Prize Money To Any Cause. I Would Just Like to Go There And Race. Anybody Have Any Used Tires?

Big Ten, NYSS, who cares, lets get as many Super stocks as we can. 8" tire should equalize everything. AIS is a nice facility and has plenty of track for racing. Definitely a huge momentum type of track. Looking forward to the 6th!
