Former Raceway 5 Street Stock champion Kevin Doktor passes

He passed away yesterday after an accident at home.
I believe that he won the 1985 Genesee Street Stock title with his #25. My thoughts are with the family and friends of Kevin.

I raced against Kevin many times at the old GENESEE SPEEDWAY. I am sadden by his passing. My thoughts and prayers are with his family..

Man I remember there was a big street stock race it was either at perry or genesee there were 40 plus cars there all the big names and Kevin won and they started 40 of them in the feature prayers to the family.....

Kevin kept my trucks going, he was a great guy that wasn't driven by  money,he was more interested in his kids.

Kevin was the 1986 Perry Street Stock champion after finishing 3rd in points in 1985.
Russ Lyons #711 won both the Genesee Pure Stock (name changed to Street Stocks in 1988) and Perry Street Stock titles in 1985.

I'm going strictly on memory here, but I believe Kevin won the Genesee Pure Stock title in '84.  In any case, thoughts are with his family.

I looked at the Genesee track champions list today, but he wasn't on it. I don't have it in front of me now, and I can't remember offhand who won the 1984 Pure Stock title.

Doug Lewis was the 1984 Genesee Pure Stock champion.

You're right on, Mark.  Though actually, I wasn't too far off with my ol' grey matter - Doug was Kevin's teammate and drove the same #25 car that Kevin drove.
