NASCAR is dead...overpriced and just not a good show, just like some other racing series around the circle.people don’t want to spend hard earned money for a shi@show.. this goes for national or local motorsports..

There are only a few cup teams in existence compared with other race teams so who should we compare them to? Yes their budgets are vastly different but I was not doing a team comparison anyway but a sponsor comparison as you said sponsors want winners and Geoco is every bit as big as lowes.
Anyway, all gas powered motor sports will be subjected to the demise of internal combustion engines in the future as California has become the first state to pass a law to ban their sale by 2030 and the rest will follow so lets enjoy wile we still have them.

NYSE - NA$CAR stock price indicates that reports of its demise are somewhat exaggerated...

ISC (International Speedway Corporation) stock, March 22, 2013, $31.96

Closing price on Friday March 16, 2018, $44.25

Yep, that is true. Was talking about the distant future. There are whole countries and car manufactures moving to all electric cars as politics progress. The liberals are pushing here in this country too so we will see where it will end up but for now we will use what we have for as long as we can.

They're actually doing crappy compared to the broader market.

                                                            3/22/2013    3/16/2018   Increase
International Speedway Corporation (ISC)   $31.96             $44.25            38%
Dow Jones Industrial Average                   14,421.49             24,946.51    73%

My thought wld be that them leaving has nothing to do with on tr4ack perfomance of the 48, the decision was probally made well before they started to stumble end of last year.  The 48 will get more exposure for a sponsor while stumbling than most teams that are running up front.  May be more of a issue with nascar as a whole or wanting to switch things up.  Dont be surprised if they come out with a diff driver.  Napa did same, sd they were going to ecplore different things after MW, then popped up with chase
