Racing Discussion / Bethel Motor Speedway - What a joke!
« on: 07 Nov, 2020 15:46 »
My friend and I went to the track for NovemberFest. Brought the dog and left her in the truck. Went to go let her out and went through the gate and was told no re-entry in a very disrespectful manner by the gate attendent. He told us that he didn't tell us to bring our dog so it's not his problem. Went and spoke to the GM who cleared us to go in and out of the gate to let the dog out and then as we went to do so the guy rudely told us here is your money back and to do the place a favor and go home. Most unprofessional run speedway and most disrespectful staff I have ever come in contact with at a race track.

Racing Discussion / Looking Back at a now Closed Track
« on: 21 Jun, 2019 01:22 »
Earlier today I became curious and I drove past the location of the former Wyalusing Valley Motorsports Park on the Howard Farm in Homets Ferry, the suburbs of Wyalusing, PA.

When I looked out at what used to be in that now grown up field it brought a tear to my eye. That small track was where a lot of families, friends and competitors gathered.

I wanted to take the chance to send a special Thank You to Billy Maynard and his entire family for giving everyone an amazing place to race from 2006-2012. There dedication to our sport has been truly amazing and they all deserve to be given a round of applause.

While I know the circumstances of the closing was out of the hands of the Howard and Maynard Familes, I still always wish that track never would have closed because now if people in that area wish to race karts, slingshots or microsprints they have to travel a great distance to compete.

It is like the old saying goes. You really don't know what you have until its gone. The saying is so very true because when WVMP closed, the community truly lost something amazing.

4
The following is a video message from me as a farewell and an apology to those who I have hurt in anyway, shape or form in the racing community. This will be the final time I read or post on RaceNY.com.

I am aware that several people dislike me and hate me because of my actions over the course of the past several years and I am sure negative comments will follow and rightfully so.

Before posting I respectfully ask that you watch my video message. Thank You for your time and best of luck in all your feature endeavors. Take Care and Goodbye Everybody.
